Seasun Zieger -- Thoughts???

Cathlete
Hello all,

I have Seasun Zieger's Bosu workout (the one on the CIA with Sharon Money Twonbly -- Double Cardio). I really enjoyed Seasun's choreography and energy. Plus, I could make the workout as hard as I wanted. For those of you who have her other DVDs, what do you think? Are they as tough as Cathe (I want tough!!).

Thanks in advance for any tips.

I am interested in this too. I just did the abs from that one yesterday. It is one of my favorite ab routines and I sure do feel it for the next day or two. Her footwork is a bit much for my little pea brain though... I'm getting it down but don't do it often either. No matter, it is fun and I like her - she isn't the tiniest bit annoying like some instructors can be.

I have all her workouts and I really love her.

However, she uses very complex choreography. The bosu workout imo is the easiest workout that she does as far as complexity goes.
If you are a choreography junkie, you will have a great time.
Her core sections are really intense, also.

In case you are interested:

Rock Steady Step - Her first workout, cueing is not the best, but it is intense and complex. Great core section follows the cardio.

Straight Up Step - Another goodie, better cueing, and it includes a vertical section as well as a double step section ( I don't have the dvd in front of me, please correct me if I am wrong) and a core section.

The Next Step - Shorter workout, not as complex but still difficult enough, no core section on this dvd, I think it is about 55 minutes total.

Bosu Workout - Part of Double Cardio with Sharon Twombley.
If you like bosu cardio this is the bomb! Not really complex but very intense. Great core workout using the bosu and a handweights also on this workout.

She is doing another CIA workout this winter, I am preordering for sure!

I can't speak for any of her other workouts as I only have Bosu Blast but I really enjoy doing this one. The core section is definitely a favorite. I don't think she cues the moves as well as Cathe and I often find myself on the wrong leg:confused: Still, I'm glad I have this one otherwise my bosu would never get used.

Conni, I think you have the descriptions for Straight Up Step and The Next Step reversed. I have SUS and there's just horizontal stepping and no ab section in it.

IIRC, the reviews for TNS stated it was super complex and had a tough ab segment.

I have to agree with Conni about her descriptions except she did mix up Straight Up Step with The Next Step. She has core sections on both Rock Steady Step and The Next Step and include lots of plank work. Straight Up Step is the easiest to follow and lots of fun. RSS and TNS are very complex and includes lots of turns. Her cueing is pretty good and she does TIFT a lot which I don't mind with complex workouts because you feel like you can really do the choreography by the end. I like all of them (haven't done Double Cardio yet).

I have Rock Steady Step. I've only 'tried' to do it a couple of times. I found the cueing not too good and quite complex. I'm sure if I'd do it more and learn it that it would be fun, but I've never found the time that I could do that. When I'm ready to workout I need to just "Do It" ;)

Good luck
Marcia.

I love Seasun!!

I love complex choreography and Seasun's is definitely complex. I wouldn't compare her cuing to Cathe's simply because to me it's comparing apples and oranges. Cathe's choreography is much less complex and therefore easier to cue, IMO. I think Seasun does a very good job of cuing considering the complexity is greater.

I have all of her workouts and intend to preorder the CIA that is coming up. I enjoy her personality as well---she seems genuine and natural.

Thanks for catching my boo-boos guys! I just have it all goofy sometimes! I hope my meanings were clear, though! lol.

Personally, I am not a fan of the bosu cardio, only because it feels too high for my short legs.

She's on Netflix, so I've tried her DVDs after her BOSU Blast....which is my FAVORITE BOSU workout!

Rock Steady Step I thought was lots of fun, The Next Step's choreography I found challenging. :)
