Scared about food recall and what to buy now

Donna - Solid Gold (the maker of TimberWolf) was a bit rich for my Aussie's stomach and resulted in the same problem as you are having now until he got used to it, then things firmed up (So to speak). Also, how much are your feeding your Corgi. I fed my 55 pound Aussie a little less than a cup in the morning and the same at night. And how did you introduce it - was it gradually?

Donna,

that sucks! I read in another post that you were so happy when you got the new carpet.

However, since it took almost a week for her to get the diarrhea, it may not be the food, she may have just gotten into something else (mine have a way into getting all kinds of stuff). I would think that if it's the food the reaction would have been much faster.

Try and give her some canned pumpkin (NOT the pumkin pie filing though) about 1 -2 tbsp. about 2 times a day, that should firm it up. Continue to watch her.

RE: Donna

Donna-

I know I'm talking cats and you're talking dogs, but my Vet said never to just switch the cats food. He said you have to wean them off of one and introduce the new one slowly and start by combining them or the cats would get diarrhea. That's what he told us when we got our new kitty and had to switch all of our cats to a different food.

I'm not sure if dog's are the same, but from your post, I'd say it wouldn't hurt to try it.
