Scar camouflage

So now the weather is nice(r) and it's time to wear skirts with bare legs and shorts are just around the corner. I've got this big ol' honkin' red scar on my knee from my surgery. My skirts are pretty much below the bottom of the scar, but it's still visible when I walk.

Does anybody know of anything that hides scars so it doesn't look like I'm hiding a scar? Honestly, I'd rather have it right out there in the open than wear something obvious. Like it or not, it's part of me now. I'm not embarrassed by it, and am actually kind of proud of how I got it. But still...it's kinda ugly.

I'm wearing my ACL scar like a skier's badge of honor. I say wear it proudly, it confirms to everyone that you're a jock! :D

Have you tried putting vitamin E on it to fade it a little? Here's a link to a leg and body cover creme. I've never used it, so I can't comment on how it works.

I wonder using a sunless tanning lotion would make it look less obvious, but not look like your trying to hide it.

I agree, wear it proudly.

Cathe has a couple. I wonder if you could try asking her.

I have an icky 6" gallbladder scar and it recently occurred to me that I could have it tattooed. Hmmmm....

Have you tried the Mystic Tan, or fake tanning cream. I like the former better than the latter, but I use both. This is what I use when I want to go bare legged and feel self conscious about anything.

Don't think I want to tattoo my knee. That would be weird.

I think I like the "badge of honor" idea. If I had gotten it from falling down the stairs, that might be different.

I would use Bare Minerals Bisque. If it does anything it will look natural, even if all it does is fade it.

Oh! That's a good idea. I've got all that Bare Minerals crap that ruined my face. At least it won't go to waste.
