S&H questions

Cathlete
For those of you who have done this series, what rotation did you use. Can I put them all together on consecutive days (Sat, Sun, Mon) or should you space them (Mon, Wed, Fri) with cardio or days off in between? I'm embarking on this new series and I'd love to hear anyone's results or thoughts on Slow & Heavy training.

Thanks so much everyone.

RE: S & H questions

Hi Letswork,
First, cool name. Next, I hope you're ready to work because that's exactly what Slow & Heavy will make you do. Anyways, to answer your question yes you can use the tapes on consecutive days. Cathe set up this series so that you can work each body part to exhaustion one day and then work on a different body part the next without fear of overworking the body parts from the previous day. When you lift at such a slow pace you really aren't calling on the other muscles for too much assistance as you would in an endurance type of workout.
You can even split it up to one body part a day if you so choose its that versatile and easy. Especially since I remember you saying you only had a hour to exercise a day. This allows you to get in so carido beforehand or afterwards depending on your preference. I came up with this rotation that I thought would work just an idea. Hope this helps. :) :) :)

Sunday: Off
Monday: CTX Step & Intervals + Slow & Heavy Chest
Tuesday: CTX Power Circuit + Slow & Heavy Back
Wednesday: CTX Kickbox + Slow & Heavy Biceps
Thursday: CTX 10-10-10 + Slow & Heavy Triceps
Friday: CTX All Step + Slow & Heavy Shoulders
Saturday: Slow & Heavy Legs

RE: S & H questions

I have tried these 2 and like the latter better, but I love hitting each muscle group twice per week. Here they are:
Sat. Cardio Kicks *(any Cathe cardio)
Sun. S&H L&S
Mon. Power Max *
Tue. S&H C&B
Wed. Imax *
Thu. S&H T&B
Fri. Rest

Sat. S&H L&S CTX cardio only
Sun. S&H C&B CTX cardio only
Mon. Step Fit
Tue. S&H T&B
Wed. Imax
Thu. Power Hour or LL and Body Max upperbody
Fri. Rest

Hope this helps!

Thanks guys

I appreciate your input. I think everyone that embarks on the S&H series worries about getting in enough cardio...but since I'm only doing it for three weeks, hopefully I'll gain some strength and then go back to the Intensity Series again to stir things up. We'll see what happens.

Oh, and thanks for saying my log in name is cool. I used to be "candori" but with the new forum it wouldn't let me log in as such. So letswork!!!
