S & H/ Pyramids ?'s

I have the Intesity series but I've been thinking of getting the Slow and Heavy series - do I really need it? I was thinking if I just went heavier on the pyramid work I may get about the same results?
I see that in S&H she works the muscle groups a lot longer and slower, concentrating on just the 2 each video. What do you who have (or are getting) both think?
I'm looking to increase my lean muscle for more definition. I gain muscle very easily however.
Thanks for any advice! Susan

Hi Susan! I have both series. IMHO S&H series can not be replaced by pyramids, even if you increase the weights.
That slow and long period of lifting really shift the strength level much higher. You can concentrate tons more, and the definition follows. Pyramids are fantastic too and they can not be replaces by the S&H. They work on strength, but I feel they have endurance component also since they are on faster pace.
I think for the best result one needs both.
Hope this helps.:)

I am a HUGE fan of S&H! I love it! I haven't done the Pyramid yet since I am wtg. on the dVDs. However, I personally think the 2 are totally different and that S&H gives you a whole new level of strength! This is the 2nd time I have done a S&H rotation and am again seeing great results! It is amazing how much more I can lift after a simple 3-4 week S&H rotation!

I also vote for both!

p.s. I am soooo jealous you have the new series. I am soooo excited!

Alright, alright! I'll get it, I'll get it!!I'm actually dealing on the series with a lady who's selling it! Thanks for all the input - :D Susan
