Ryka shoes question............

I have found the Light XT cross trainer. Is this a good shoe for doing Cathe? Also found the Solace which is a running shoe. I can't order on line because I really need to try them on since I wear orthotics. I have found the Light XT in 2 different stores. I like the look of the Affirm but can't find a store that carries them.;(

Thanks!!:D

Annette, I am a big Ryka fan (have about 10 pair from cross trainers, aerobics, to running shoes but who's counting right?)! Anyway, in spite of all my shoes, I don't have any of those you mentioned. I have bought on-line without problem, but do you have Lady Foot Locker nearby? That's where I get mine locally.

Jo

Our Lady Footlocker only carries the Light XT, the Gym Trainer and the Versatility(sp?). I don't want a high top. Thanks for responding though I will keep looking.:D

Wow Jo, 10 pairs?!!

This is off topic but, I , too replace my shoes religiously & get everything from crosstrainers to running.I have 6 pairs currently. Since I used to run often, I have only found the Nike Air Pegasus back from 1992 (I think)to have worked for me when running. Did you ever try those? I wish I could find more of those. What do you like for running? I have wide feet.

Annette, sorry to barge on in. If this is inappropriate I'll start another.

Annette, what about a Sports Authority or Sports Mart? I have found Ryka's at those also.

Marla, I used to like the Nike Air Triax and the Kantara. The Kantara has more cushioning for pavement. I have also worn the Asics Gel (forget the specific model) which I liked and just recently decided to try Rykas - I like them! But I always seem to come back to my Nikes! But for aerobics and cross trainers, Rykas are the best for me.

Cool. Thanks for the heads-up. But my tip for you is, if you can, check out the Freddies for cardio. Someone suggested these once on of the threads. They are not mainstream so you are kinda of taking a chance. But, I was having some bad forefoot pain/burning when doing Cathe's MIC & other overlapping cardio such as Imax 2 or RS, and these shoes cured it for me.

This is really good info to put out because workout shoes can be so expensive & for the most part unreturnable if you have used them, unless I'm mistaken.
