Ryka shoe size

I asked this question in a reply to an earlier post about Ryka shoes but thought I'd put the question here in hopes of getting an answer soon.

I can't find a store in my area that carries Ryka shoes so am unable to try them on to determine the size I need.

Have you found that you wear the same size in Ryka's as other shoes? My shoe size is consistent with the various brands that I wear. I'm hoping that any information I can get here will help me to decide what size I should order

Thanks so much!

I order them online and found them to fit fine, I order my normal shoe size and they fit. I think I ordered them from Sierra Trading Post, cheap.

I actually ordered a half size larger than I normally do because I was told that they run about a half size small, and while the fit seems fine, I think I still could have gotten away with my normal size.

The first Rykas I ordered, I got a half size larger because I had also heard that they ran small. Needless to say, they were too big!

Now I always order my normal shoe size and they fit fine.

Yep. Next time I order a pair, I'm going to make sure I order my normal size 8's. I bet they'll feel even better than my 8 1/2's (which feel pretty darn great)!

In year's past, Ryka shoes had the reputation of running almost a full size small. I had this experience myself. However, this has changed, at least for me. I can order my normal size and they fit.

I just got some from Overstock.com and ordered my regular size (9). They fit perfectly. BUT it's odd: on the box it shows that they are size 9, or European size 41. I had always thought that size 9 was a European size 40, and that's what Birkenstocks say. Another but: I wear a 39 in Birkenstocks. Maybe it all depends on the width vs. length of your feet?

Ryka's are truly the BEST aerobics shoe. Did you know that they are specifically designed for women? I've worn them for years, but could not find them in any stores. As an aerobics instructor, I get their catalog every few months and that's where I order them from and get a small discount. I'm sure you can order them from their website now. And, I WOULD NOT go up any sizes. I think you'll be safe ordering your normal size. You are going to love them.... Enjoy!! You'll want to jump a little higher the day you get them!

For their aerobic shoes I've always had to go up a 1/2 size. In their running shoes I have to go up a whole size.

Hi,
I ordered a pair of RykaII from Holabird Sports. Initially I ordered a half size too large, and I felt I would damage a nail because they fit a little too tightly. I reordered a whole size larger. They are a little too large, but still comfortable.

I've not been able to find these in any stores in Canada, so I think I may have to go ahead and order them on-line from the US, because my shoes are on their last legs and I WANT SOME GOOD ONES!

I think it depends - if you are always the same size when you buy shoes, then I would order your normal size.

But if you fluctuate (I can never tell if I'm going to have to buy a 7 or 7 1/2), then I would get the higher size.
