Running Watch

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good running watch? One that will calulate running pace and distance...

Thanks!

I love the Garmin Forerunner. It's not a "watch" (it's a wrist-mounted GPS) , and is too bulky to use as one for regular wear.

I have the 205 model. The 305 is also good (and has a heart-rate monitor).

There's a newer 110 model that is watch sized, but from the reviews I've read, it doesn't have some of the features I like on the 205 (like the ability to see what pace you are going at the moment).

Thanks Kathryn.

I have borrowed a Garmin Forerunner from my brother and you are right it is bulky...I do love the information it provides though...

I guess I will just have to keep looking!

Thanks again!

The Garmin 405 is much smaller than the 305 - you might want to look into that. While not as accurate, have you looked at the Nike+? The pod gets attached to your shoe (many Nike brands have special cut-outs for the pod, or you can VERY easily attach it with a little shoe pocket). There is a receiver for your iPod, or they also make a nice watch receiver. I used to run with the Nike+ and really enjoyed it. Price is MUCH better than a Garmin (although I love my Garmin and think it's worth every penny for me).
