Running shoes for flat feet

Dani,

I did my first long run last Saturday. I tried to hit the 6 miles, but I ran out of time, my cleaning lady had to come early (7:30am). But I am pretty sure that I ran more than 5 miles. I did not feel any fatigue at all except my legs are very DOM today!

I have a very silly question. Do you think training for marathon will trim body fat? I think my body fat is about 25%. My goal is to get under 20%.

By the way, thanks for sharing the training site. I thought marathon runner will never take a water break. I did what he said. I took a couple water break and walked instead of running. It really felt much different.

Good luck for your Oct. run!

Oh, WantFit! That is SO great!!

I have gone down about 5 to 6% body fat since running...but haven't lost much weight...just a few pounds.

Yes, water breaks are key!!! I definitely could not make it without stopping for water. After about 5 or 6 miles I also take a Carb Energy Gel pack. It's a gel that's loaded with carbs. It helps keep your energy going.
