Runners Check in April 5th

Hi Girls,

Im glad to see everyone checking in and so many of you are doing awesome workouts.
I was at the hospital earlier and I was looking at people with issues and some with overweight issues and I was thinking how lucky we are to be able to do the things we can do.We have no limitations, only working ourselves up to a certain level but no serious limitations. When I was registering there was a young lady behind me with a cain and I thought, I bet she wishes she could run 5 miles today.
I think we are all awesome!!!! And we don't realize how great we are b/c we have been doing it for so long:) and its such a big part of our day!
Anyway,I am feeling o.k.I had a Dr's apt and my medication made me feel like I had drank a bottle of rum:eek: but my high as wore off.I would really like to be able to tie up my shoes and run outside tonight but I know it will be dark and little ice patches usually form when the sun goes down:-(
Oh well...I will have to stick to the treadmill!;(
Lori:)

Congragulations Judy on your 6 miles. I did 6 last night too. I'm a typical 3-5 miler only a couple times a week but these posts and women have been so inspiring I really pushed for the 6 miler and was SOOO happy I got it in. So congrats to both of us!!

Wishing Amy good luck on her 10K Saturday!

I ran two 5K's last year on the insistance of a friend who runs marathons. I have to admit I enjoy running more than I ever thought possible...the ipod DH got me for x-mas really does help }( make it more enjoyable.

I love reading these threads!

Great runs everyone!! This thread is SOOOO inspiring! During my treadmill run early this am (sneaking in an extra run this week..hee hee) I thought of Sarah's really cool run with city lights and crossing the river, Carol's trail running to prep for Western States pacing and just how everyone posting here is doing their runs--very cool! There's nothing like running! Thanks for sharing ya'll! Oh, and yes, Lori, I do the same thing when I go to an MD appointment and see all the people in the waiting area. I look around and become very grateful and thankful that I am able to exercise and enjoy it!

Run on everyone!! ;-)
