Runners: Blisters?

I wasn't going to respond to this because I'm not a runner, and then I remembered something. I love New Balance shoes, but I was getting a blister on my right foot because my two feet are different sizes. The guy at the New Balance store recommended these socks that were designed to reduce blistering and they have worked great! They are called "WrightSock" for runners. I think they have several layers so that only the outside layer moves with the shoe, but the inside layer stays put or something. Not sure exactly how they work, but they're great. I haven't had any problems since I've been wearing them. You can google the name, or they probably sell them at any sporting goods store. I bought them at the New Balance store around 40th between 5th and 6th or something like that.

This might sound crazy, but knee highs work great. Whenever I run long distances I wear a pair under my socks & since doing this have not had a blister yet. I roll them down so I don't look like a dork. Who knows maybe it could become a new fashion trend.

I don't think the knees highs under socks is crazy at all! Actually, it sounds like the low-tech version of the socks Nancy is suggesting. Thanks for that, by the way, Nancy. I may bring my current pair of sneakers back and go to the New Balance store to see if they have suggestions. Paragon wasn't particularly helpful.

Bunbun-
If you wind up going, I just looked it up and the New Balance store is on 42nd between 5th and 6th, right next to the NY Public library and Bryant Park.

Thanks. Am debating between that and a NY Runners shop that I think is in the Trump shopping center--they carry the Feetures socks that some here recommended.
