Hi

I'm going to try to help you but I have to say that this is a challenge. Are you a beginner/intermediate or intermediate/advanced? If you are a beginner you could probably get good results with less. This rotation is designed with advanced workouts. Your collecton does not really have the best cardio substitutes, but let's give it a try and then we can either tweak or change for a different rotation. If you really want this rotation, you may need to invest in the RS/MIC/IMAX DVD to help round out your rotation. If you have C&W on DVD, you could do the step only sectons for your cardio. You could run for cardio or use other aerobic workouts that you own. Basically, this rotation works your muscle groups twice (sometimes three times with the circuit workouts) with strength training. There are at least 3 cardio workouts per weak (she mixes it up with an interval workout, a high intensity cardio workout, running, and circuit training). Here is a starting suggestion.

>snip
>Monday: PUB
>Tuesday: An interval run (unles C&W is DVD then you have Imax 2)
>Wed: PLB
>Thurs: Any high intensity cardio workout of at least 60 min
>Fri: Muscle Endurance
>Sat: Walk/Run 40 minutes Plus Abs from CM or abd hits
>Sun: OFF
>
>WEEK TWO: -
>Monday: basic step/LB/UB workout (won't have the same intensity as BM)
>Tuesday: Any high intensity cardio workout of at least 60 min
>Wednesday: Any high intensity cardio workout of at least 60 min
>Thurs: OFF
>Fri: Pyramid combo (premix on DVD) or ME
>Sat: OFF
>Sun: ME
>
>WEEK THREE:
>Monday: Any high intensity cardio of at least 60 min
>Tues: Cardio and Weights
>Wed: Pyramid Lower Body
>Thurs: OFF
>Fri: Cardio and weights or Body Fusion
>Sat: OFF
>Sun: Boot Camp (if you have ME DVD you have this) or do C&W or BF
>
>WEEK FOUR:
>Monday: Any high intensity cardio of at least 60 min
>Tuesday: An interval run
>Wed: ME
>Thurs: OFF
>Fri: Pyramid Upper
>Sat: An interval run
>Sun: PLB and Abs from CM or ab hits

thanks! I am an intermediate. I have done the FIRM (& others) for years and really like the FIRM best, but they're just not giving me much of a work out anymore. I find that I really do like the Cathe tapes & other than the fancy footwork, I'm able to keep up & am ready to up the intensity already - although I could not call myself advanced because I can not handle the heavy weights that Cathe does.

thank you for sorting this out for me. that is a really smart way of breaking down the rotation for someone like me.

I had terrific results w/the firm - although I'm about 15 pounds from where I want to be. I'm vegan mostly & unfortunately not a person who is committed to my diet & health concious as the posters on the boards. I really hope to improve on my fat loss & muscle tone. I liked that the firm promised results in 10 workouts & delivered (not even consecutive workouts!). Have you found the Cathe tapes to produce visible results w/some dedication & proper eating?

Hi JudeJude,

I also did the Firm for awhile, a long time ago. It was a good substitute when I had to stop going to the gym. Eventually, Cathe and other instructors took over. I really enjoy and get good results from Cathe's workouts. Welcome to the Cathe boards. You will find yourself up to speed in no time.

Don't feel shy about mixing in some of your other tapes to round out your rotation. Crosstraining will give you good results. I have lost weight with brisk walking and my turtle running.

The interval workouts are good for blasting away those stubborn pounds. If you have one, make sure you use it or do the interval run. You can trade for workouts if you can't afford any new ones right now, just a thought.

I am not a vegan but there are others here that are vegans. I try to eat clean but I cheat. I just do my best with nutrition and exercise to achieve my goals. Cathe workouts do deliver for me.

Good luck :D ,
jodan
