ROTATION CONFUSION

Hi Cathe,
I am confused a bit about rotations most specifically involving weight training.
For some reason, I have it in my head that I have to stick to one weight training program (one of your videos) for weeks on end until I see results in the shape, definition and/or strength of my muscles.
For example I'll do lets say MIS for 2-3 days a week for a few weeks, than change to Power Hour for 2-3 days a week and so on with your various strength videos. Now, I notice on some of your rotation plans that you post on the website you vary the strength workouts from week to week never doing the same strength workouts in one given week. I really like the idea of this b/c of the variety and fun factor. Do you find that by still working all the major muscle groups 2-3 X's week with slightly diff exercises from diff. tapes gives better results? in muscle shape, tone, etc. (from your own experience and the other ladies in your videos and your classes).
I feel as though I am a bit stuck as far as gettting more definition, do you feel that changing strength workouts every workout, every week or every month would be most beneficial for someone like me.
thank you for your advice and your great workouts,
Robyn

I've heard/read this also. Stick with a program for x amount of weeks. Good question. I had the same concerns about which way to go. Where is there a rotation schedule on this site any how? Love to look at it. :7

when you think about it,I would probably go with the keep hititng it an hit it hard. The way the BFL goes, they stay with the same routine, same boring program, then change after say 6 weeks. Even if you get to change the handgrip on a piece of equipment, it's a change. I got the results I have so far by doing the exat routine, for weeks. I was not board because the weight was still exhausting. That's what will get it. Exhaust that muscle and you will see even more results. I would say,.. give it a go, you will only gain your own results and answers. It does work though the singleton routine. And... there is also more then one way to skin a cat. so.. mix... don't mix, try your mix.... I'm on my way to the videos and some of my mix.. of weights.... you also figure, you're doing this for life so again,I have to say, test it out.

Robyn,

Hi there! I have Cathe's Body Blast series which conists of: Step Blast, Supersets, Step Pump & Jump, Push/Pull and two other videos which are not part of Body Blast but they are Pyramid Lower Body (very tough workout) and Allstep which is a great step video. What I do is rotate every workout each day. I never stick to just one workout for weeks. One day I will do Step Blast (totally cardio) and the next I may do Supersets. I am seeing great results but the only thing I have noticed is if I don't take a day off within the week I have a hard time doing the workout because my muscles are fatigued. I have to tell myself that I need that day off to give my muscles a rest which is important for muscle growth and strength. I don't know what the answer is but I know that the way I rotate my workouts, it keeps me from getting bored and i enjoy working out more.

Good Luck!

Jessica
