RIP Paul Newman

He was one of my favorite actors. I saw the news after working out this morning....:(...My all time favorite movie is "Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid". I just feel like watching some of his old movies...He will be very much missed.

I feel for Joanne. I remember learning all about their love story on BIOGRAPHY and thinking 'Wow.' After a love like that, it will be hard to live life without him.

Loved him as an actor. Cool Hand Luke was great, but his performance in "Hud" was, IMHO, the absolute epitome of sexy. Just rent the darn thing from Netflix!) When he smells the daisy after his afternoon with Patricial Neal, gives her this look, and says "what else are you good at??" Very adult, perhaps too understated by today's standards, but just... wow. (And OK, his body was slammin'!)

But much more important, I think, is the fact that he left some $250 million to charity, for underprivileged kids at his camp in Connecticut, and for many other worthwhile causes. All the profits from his food enterprises were handed over to charitable causes, basically. So we should all have some of his popcorn, or salad dressing, or organic chocolate, or whatever, and raise a toast to Paul Newman!

From what I can tell, he truly walked the walk.

Many, many years ago Paul Newman was filming close to where I live in CT. I was sitting in a stool at our local hamburger joint and someone came in and sat next to me. When I turned to see who it was I was greeted by those incredible blue eyes of Paul Newman! I just giggled and enjoyed it. His passing is very sad.
