Rhythmic Step - Fun, Fun, Fun!

Body Max was scheduled for today but I was feeling crampy and just not up for it so I decided to try the first 2 combos of Rhythmic Step (I'm doing shorter cardios in my current rotation), followed by the 2-set upper body premix of PP. What a fun workout! This routine flows particularly well, and I think I kept up pretty well for my first try. Cathe is truly a gifted choreographer when it comes to step. I'm looking forward to trying combo #3 and especially to the "Challenge." Is it similar to the Step Blast challenge? Are there blasts? I wouldn't mind the intensity being a little higher, but I guess a workout always seems easier intensity-wise your first try because you're concentrating so much on the choreography.
 
I love Rhythmic step as well.The third combo is not as long as the second combo,but the thrid is a little tougher.Its been a while since I have done this video but I think there are some power moves in the thrid combo.
The challenge is doing all of the moves.You do combo 1 on your right leg,then you go to combo 2 on your right leg and then to combo 3.Then you do it all on your left side.You repeat this 4 times.But there are no blast at the end of it.(I beleive,if there is its just power 7's...but I really don't think there is any)
I have owned step blast since they have come out and I haven't done the challenge yet:eek:
Its not as intense as the Imax's but I think you will find the intensity a little tougher when you get it down pat.You can work a little harder instead of thinking about what you have to do next.

Hi Susan, I haven't done RS in a long time, and now that you mention it, I just might dust it off and try to do it again -- if I remember the steps.:) It is a LOT of fun once you get the hang of it. I especially like the segment with the pendulums and alternating squats and lunges. Great leg workout. RS doesn't have any blasts, which is good because I think RS is the most difficult Cathe workout so far, choreography-wise. Have fun!

I just did this one from beginning to end today and was so proud of myself for making it through the challenge with only a few missteps! It took me a long time to learn this vid as I have two left feet, but now I think it's my favorite Cathe step workout. I guess it's now time to learn Step Blast!
