Reward money

Hi everyone,
I've got an opinion question I'd like your help with.
I lost my IPOD nano....put up reward posters...and someone called...so I'm going to pick it up today. My posters didnt specify a reward amount...and I was wondering what people think it should be...is there an establised rule for this? Any insight would be welcome

I'd give no more than $20. That's nice that someone returned it.

I brought $25...but she didn't accept it...I think Im going to write her a nice thank you note and give her a Subway giftcard. Honestly, I couldnt believe someone returned it...I thought it was gone forever..when I went to campus police I felt so stupid asking if someone had "turned in an IPOD"...I put up the posters on an off chance. Its nice to know there are still some good people out there...and also it never hurts to try...

I'd have given it back. I've found wallets and cell phones and always contacted the owners to give them back. It just feels good to know you made someone's day.

Thank goodness...I'm so glad that they're still people out there who do the right thing "just because," not because they think they deserve some kind of reward for it.
