Returning a product to Beachbody- Any advice?

Hello all!

Well, after hurting myself on the second DVD of Chalean Extreme I have decided to return her. I bought the deluxe version for A LOT of money. I chose the 3 payment plan. So far I've been charged $107, then a second increment of $69 something and next month I'll be charge another $69 or so bucks. I waited over a month for it to come and was out within three days. It's been over a week since I could even think of working out at all again. Grrr!

When I called to inquire about how the refund would go through should I decide to return, given that I don't want my return and my next payment to coincide and thus cause me to have to call and fight it out for a possible over charge, the customer service woman told me I had 90 days to return. That sounded fishy since I know the paperwork that comes with my set clearly says I have 30 days.

So, have any of you ever returned a product to Beachbody and got your money back without having to go to war? I was asking in advance because I found out they have HUGE shipping issues(after I ordered of course) and I figured if returns were anything like that, I'd grow old or need to hire a lawyer before saw my money again.

I regret not asking here before buying the set, so I figure I'd ask before returning. Knowledge is Power! I appreciate any advice.

Thanks :)
Amy

First of all: you're right, it's 30 days from the day you received your DVDs.

Here's some more advice:

If you ordered through a coach, contact them and let them know you'd like to return.

If not, call the BB customer service line and get a return confirmation code. Write it on your packing slip/receipt. Photocopy the receipt, and mail the copy - keep your original.

IMPORTANT: Splurge on shipping. Go through UPS and get a tracking number and delivery confirmation.

It takes about three weeks for them to process a return, and they will require yet another prompt from you: call customer service or contact your coach. Beachbody will need you to prove that the package was sent back and (!!) that they received it (AHA! You have a UPS tracking number that shows when it was delivered!). After another longish wait, they will refund your money, minus shipping.

I've never returned while a payment plan is ongoing, though, so you might experience further complications. If you ordered through a coach, they might be able to help you smooth the way for your return. I had a relatively easy return experience, mostly because my coach was very responsive and helpful.

Hope this helps -
