Results from my U/S

I had my ultrasound today and I'm having a BOY!!! Totally surprised me b/c I thought for sure it was a girl. My DH and DS are very happy! I have to go for another U/S on June 2 b/c they didn't get a good look at his spine b/c of how he was laying. Right now he is breech but I have 5 months yet so I"m sure he'll turn by then. My placenta is also low. I had no idea what that meant but the midwife explained that mine is lying more to the side of my uterus then down by the cervix. When the uterus grows it could pull the placenta upwards. So they are going to check that at the next U/S and also schedule me for another one around 32 weeks. Also was something in my urine (starts with a K, can't remember though) and she said I was slightly dehydrated. I have no clue how b/c I drink so much water. So I guess that I have to up my intake. I've gained 10lbs so far - I was a bit concerned but she told me that I"m doing great.

My new due date is October 4th - originally was Oct 6th.

I think the thing that starts with K in your urine is a form of protein. I know certain levels of protein are associated with some maternal complications, but can't remember what. I think they're problems that can be addressed, though. Kind of the way too much sugar in your urine can indicate gestational diabetes, which can be addressed by modified diet. I imagine if it was serious, she would have told you?

Oh, the baby will turn for sure before the end of the pregnancy. At this stage they still flip and turn quite a lot, as there's lots of room for them to move, relative to the last trimester.

Only 10lbs? I'm envious! You're doing great!!

It's Keytone. I had that with one urine test because I was sick and didn't drink enough water.

Boy's are so much fun, not bias at all ;-) ! I'm glad all is well. I hope by the time I hit your mark I haven't gained more than 10 lbs, so hard to judge isn't it? You sound like you are handling your pregnancy great! Thanks for the update.

I have 2 names I like and my DH has one.
I like Gannon & Luke and my hubby likes Heath. Who knows what we'll ending picking.

I have a cousin who is due 5 weeks before me and she is also having a boy!! :)
 
Do you know what the meanings are? I have never heard Gannon before! That is a cool name! Hubby has always chose our kids first name, and I chose their middle names. finding baby names are so fun! All the names we had picked out the first six months we forgot about because we kept hearing names we liked! We ended up on Logan Gabriel, and believe it or not, our DS cam to us with the name Logan just a month before he was born! We loved it, so there you go!

btw, congrats on your healthy boy!!!!
 
Congratulations! A brother for DS. That is so great! Only 10 lbs gained so far, I'm so jealous. Great job!
