Good Morning Ladies!

Today we just walked our 3 miles (one friend is recovering from surgery) and then I came home to do SM#2 (with ball). I was so looking forward to walking, and nothing strenuous. Tomorrow is LIC..Fun! After walking, my left arch on my foot was hurting!x( Hope it is nothing serious! I was wearing new shoes.

Marcy--What is on tap for you today? I ended up only having my haircut about 1" and she talked to me about a color change, but didn't have the time, so I'll go back next week. But she did agree that I needed it.

Hi Deanie--What is on the vacation schedule today?:)

Have a great day!

Good Morning Gals

Today is a rest day!!LOL :)

Seriously, the weather is warmer today, so we will be going to the pool. It is our last day here, and tomorrow morning we will be leaving. I won't be checking in till sunday!!!

Gin~ I hope nothing is wrong with your foot! I got my haircut (6"!!!!  ) right before we left. I didn't have enough time for highlights so I am going back on the 4th. I also was contemplating highlights or a color. I will probably go with highlights. My hair is now to the nape of my neck, maybe an inch longer, and lots of short layers. I will be starting the new rotation on Monday. When are you starting?

Marcy~ Funny how you're enjoying muscle endurance:) It is hard! Isn't it!! That was one of the reasons I liked June 07 rotation. It mixes M.E. and strength. After all this eating out, I'm going to have to really work to get/stay in shape. I did go out and buy some new spring clothes: capris and a skirt and tops. I got size 2's and xs's. Now I've got to work to stay in them. Last night I had real mozzerella cheese in my salad!! We've been eating out at least one meal a day:eek: I agree about the long layers in your hair, my hairdresser loves them when my hair is long, but I think I need shorter layers and since my face is little I look better in a bob cut, but I love playing with my hair like putting it up and all. Keep us posted what you decide to do!

Have a great day/weekend

Forgot to add..
Gin~ I think maybe you should try 3-4 hours total for cardio. That includes your running. Maybe you run instead of do Cathe cardio? Just a thought..:)

I just typed a long post that I accidentally deleted. I do that every so often and have no idea what key I press that does it. Anyway,

Today was Sharon Twombly's All Body Attack - a circuit workout. The great thing was I only had to use one set of dumbbells - 8#. It was kind of like Drill Max but a lot more cardio drills - agility drills and lots of work on the step. Compound strength moves, no difficult choreography. Great core work but I didn't have time to do it - lots of plank work. HR stayed up most of the workout. I can't say Sharon's are my favorite fun workouts but I do think they are very effective.

Amy's In The Ring workout just got delivered to me. I've been hearing good reviews about it. It's four kickbox combos with 4 medicine ball drill style intervals.

Tonight is dancing and tomorrow I'll be doing Tracey's Total Body workout from her Parts series. It's only about a half hour fusion workout (yoga, ballet, pilates) which is great because tomorrow is also Clean Max. DS is coming over on Sat. for his 19th bday.

Deanie - I wish I was at the pool with you. I'm glad you have nicer weather today. 6"? WOW! That's drastic. The last time I had my hair short (shorter than yours) was when I was pregnant with DD. I don't think I'll be going that short for quite awhile (and DH would probably have a fit!) My face is little also so I like to have my hair up and away from my face. Try and send pics if you can!

Congrats on getting new clothes. My manager wore the suit I gave her and it looked great on her. I also gave her some size 8 dress pants. I'm still trying to lose the last 2-3 extra pounds from 6 weeks ago when I was on vacation. I'd like to lose 5-10 more after that but I don't think that's likely. I just got a pair of size 2 jeans from Target last weekend and I'm determined not to grow out of them.

I'll have to go check out June's rotation again. Muscle Endurance has been a nice change this month. I only have a little bit of DOMS in my back but nothing like the DOMS I get with RTTC.

Gin - I agree with Deanie about the amount of cardio you should do. Hope your foot's okay. New shoes take awhile to break in. Enjoy LIC tomorrow.

Have a great afternoon!

Hi Again!

Deanie--Enjoy the pool! Actually it is pretty warm here today...upper 70's!:) I didn't know you HAD 6" to cut off of your hair. You'll have to e-mail a new pic. I'll bet it looks cute! If I weren't so gray, I probably wouldn't color my hair, maybe just highlight it. My ds24 is already turning gray!
I usually like to start my workout week on Sunday, but I'll have to look at it again. We are going to Parent's Weekend and won't be back until Sunday aft. I may be too tired to do PUB then,
I do 4 hours total of cardio now (including running). I would rather go to 2 days of running than miss all of the Cathe cardio!
Okay, Deanie...I will be going through the same thing as you. Our pre-school director announced this morning that she will be leaving in the middle of May after school is out! What a surprise. She has only been there 3 years, but needed to find something to make more $.
Have a safe trip back!

Marcy--Let us know how you like Amy's In the Ring w/o. I have never done any of hers.
Enjoy dancing tonight. My dh has a meeting tonight and eats dinner there. Yeah! No cooking!:)
Happy Birthday to ds!
If you wear a size 2 now and want to lose 10 lbs.(you nut!;) )what will you wear then? A 00?? I get excited when I can fit into a size 4! You both are so tiny!
I though you said you also do about 4 hours of cardio a week when you add the dancing in. How much should I do?
Hope you can do some of the June07 rotation with us. I have DOMS in my glutes form yesterday's B&G.}(

Gin:)

Gin - Yes, dancing is about 2 1/2-3 3 hours and I do 1 more hour of either kickboxing, step, hi/lo, dance. I think 4 hours should be fine. Maybe do a little more low impact. I know everyone says HIIT but I find low impact burns the fat off me better. Also, try some kind of cardio you haven't done before to shock your body.

Yes, I'm a nut. I guess my head's still at when I was 18 and 102 pounds. I don't plan on getting down to 102 but 115 would be nice. You are about 5" taller than me so that's great if you fit into a size 4 at 5'7" or was it 5'6"? I went to Dress Barn for a suit last month and the most of the 4s were too big and they didn't have 2s. But I wound up getting a size 4 pantsuit which fit really nice.

Let me know if you want to try any new cardio. If I have it, I'll let you borrow it so you can try it out.

Marcy

Marcy--What kind of cardio would you suggest that would be different? When I belonged to a gym, I would get on the elliptical machine or a stationary bike sometimes, but now it's just run and Cathe step, drills (DM or BC) or kickbox. You are sweet to offer to let me borrow.

I am 5'6". Sizes have changed so much through the years. I can remember my college roommate was 5'1" and about 100 lbs and wore a size 6 while I was about the same as I am now and wore a 10!! This was 28 years ago.

Off to bake cookies to take to ds and his roommates.:9
Gin:)

What a sweet mom you are!

Do you want to try any hi/lo? Like maybe Amy Bento's Hi/Lo Xtreme? Christi Taylor also has some good hi/lo. Maybe some dance workouts? I saw a clip yesterday of the Firm's Cardio Dance Fusion. It actually looked pretty good. I also have a VHS of Rob Glick's Hi/Lo Fusion which was a lot of fun.
