rest day

Hello,

How important is a day of rest? I have a full time job and 3 teenagers and have to work out in the (early) morning to fit it in. I do at least a Timsaver or a upper or lower body, and at most a Terminator or new Hardcore every day, but, occasionally, I just can't get up to work out. I try to get to it later, but my day is endless. I always view this as a "lost" day, but I notice that the rotations have a day of rest in them. Is this important?

Thank you,
P Marie

Rest days are extremely important, otherwise you'll be overtraining your muscles. Your body needs to have a day to recover.

I always have a rest day -- some times two in a row.

And I feel guilty as can be.

But I know that rest and recovery is critical to prevent injury and over training.

Yes, there's the guilt, but if it serves a greater purpose (getting in better shape), then I have to get over it! Thanks.
