RequestSuggestion for future DVD's

As much as I love Cathe's workouts, after doing them for so long, I am starting to get that "ho hum" feeling. I have alot of DVD's, just about most of the step ones anyway. I have found to keep it fresh and new, that turning down the volume on my tv and turning up my sound system with my own playlists blaring loudly really makes it all fresh for me. This just totally gets me going with so much renewed energy. Its amazing how much I am enjoying it! Even the older DVD's like "Low Max" that I know so well seem new again with the exception that I know the moves like the back of my hand while enjoying the music. I am a music lover no doubt.

What I would like to see happen in the future is the ability to cut the music out of the background on Cathe's DVD's and only be able to hear her cuing as an option. This would be great because even though I know most of the DVD's that I have very well, I would still like to hear Cathe. This is not really possible now. if i turn down the volume on my tv enough to not hear the music, I can't hear Cathe. Cathe, would this be possible to record these workouts like this? Could we possibly do our own custom tunes? I am so enjoying Michael Jackson's "Rockin' Robin" and "ABC", as well as Guns N Roses "knocking on Heavens Door" and so many other songs while doing my workout. I do think that Cathe has everyone beat in DVD workouts as far as getting a good workout and not to mention that she also already has the best music, but change is good. I change my itunes playlist every other day sometimes for my workouts. I don't know about everyone else, but without music that I llke, I don't think that I could get a very effective workout. Music is what makes it happen for me and gets me going even on days when my energy level is low.

Teppy,

There are several more recent Cathe workouts that already have the 'voice-only' option (the Body Blast series, for example). (I personally find it pretty useless for cardio-- since it's impossible to get the beat the same, and I can't stand when the music is out of synch with the moves--but I like it for the weight workouts, where I sometimes prefer something with a stronger beat. I wish the option were available on "Push-Pull" and "Supersets," where the more 'light pop' soundtrack just doesn't get me into the iron-pumping mood the way an edgier, heavier beat would).

(You might want to repost this in the "suggestions for future videos/DVD's" part of the forum--at the bottom of the forum list-- which is specifically designated for suggestions like this).

while its true that the beat is not always as perfect, new music still makes it new and I feel re-energized. I noticed the increased intensity that I was giving by just enjoying the music so much so that being off beat a little didn't matter to me. What if Cathe actually recorded future workouts with a choice of background music even? with todays technology it doesn't seen completely impossible. Thanks for the feedback and I think I will move this post to the suggestions.

I've suggested that before (somewhere down in the DVD's suggestions area), and I don't remember what SNM's answer was.

It would certainly go a step or two towards pleasing more people's musical tastes (ie: I like non-vocal, hard-driving beats, some funky stuff, club music, some others like recognizable vocals and top-40 tunes. Even those who have no preference would benefit from having the different musical options to make the workout seem a bit different each time).
