Refund already????

I just got a notice that I have been refunded $8.03. I assume it is from my order dated 2/20 since that's the only one that has shipped (with the exception of a completed order placed on the 18th that I received awhile ago). The only things in my order that were that price were DVD's so it appears one was already sold out before they got to fulfilling my order. That's early on for something like that to happen. So now I'm wondering about other orders I placed after that. How many of my items will be refunded? Has anyone else had this happen?

Mine hasn’t shipped yet, but I do wonder if they will run out before they get to mine, as they have thousands of orders to get through. It will be disappointing, but I’ll find them somewhere else. I didn’t order DVDs, just gear. I’m sorry you didn’t get the DVD you ordered.

Yep, I'm a little worried too, as I just ordered last week, so it'll be a awhile.. I ordered enough to take advantage
of free shipping, so depending on what the particular item would be, and if the "free shipping" would not be
eligible at that point...then I might just want to cancel the order, cause most things are simply "back-ups"
Fingers crossed ............

Over at videofitness.com they're keeping an updated list going of dvds and fitness gear that are sold out. One person reported her sister had a dvd disappear from her cart while contemplating her order. I think SNM is trying hard to keep their inventory up-to-date.
I'm surprised that I was able to place the order for PHA2 if it was out of stock. And that order was placed very early in the sale, on 2/20. I am really hoping this doesn't happen with more of my later orders.

I wanted backup DVD's of my most favorites, of which there are MANY! My internet is unreliable so streaming is frustrating for me. I can buy downloads, but I have to put them on thumb drives & I haven't figured out a good way to organize them. I prefer DVD's. At least I will be getting some of my favorite backup DVD's at the sale price! So I am grateful!

I'm that sister. I had Great Glutes sitting in my cart for awhile with some other DVD's, trying to decide how much I wanted to spend. When I eventually came back to my cart, Great Glutes wasn't there. I really have to wonder if that snow storm with the power outages caused some problems. Regardless, I'm really grateful for the DVD's I do get at these prices!

Wow! I looked on Ebay to see if I could find PHA2. There's ONE listing at the moment for $48.83 plus $3.99 shipping. And it's only in "Good" condition. Do you think there are people that bought up a bunch of DVD's to resell at hefty prices in the future? I saw prices for a lot of The Firm DVD's skyrocket. I bet we see the same with Cathe's. Thoughts?

I was wondering the same when Cathe said some orders were for very large amounts. We wondered if Collagevideo.com and Totalfitnessdvds.com bought up a bunch for future sales. Could be independent sellers were thinking along those lines too.

I've been working on completing my purchases of Jessica Smith's dvds that are Out-of-production and noticed that some I could not find after she announced she wasn't going to make dvds anymore have become available on Amazon. They're at higher prices than I'm willing to pay at this time though, but they're available when they haven't been for a few years.

As for gear, we wondered if smaller boutique gyms and studios might be buying up some of the gear too.
I think you may be right about Collage & TF. I never got into doing Jessica Smith workouts, although I know hers are very popular. My sister & I went after DVD's over the past few years because we both saw what was happening & we started getting the ones we wanted before the prices skyrocketed. I mainly went for The Firm, Tracie Long, Kari Anderson, Gin Miller, Bar Method, Kelly Coffey Meyer, Karen Voight, & a couple of Kathy Smith. I have Cathe's entire collection (except the cycle ones) & I bought back ups of my favorite Cathe DVD's. Hers are the only ones I've done that. I prefer DVD's since my internet is unreliable, & the thought of not having my favorites of Cathe's was just unacceptable to me!!!

I was sad to learn about Kari Anderson too. I used to have all of her VHS. Even her Great Moves ones. I wish those had been put on DVD.

Ha! I also have been collecting. I was fortunate to get some of Karen's dvds before everything went up in the Palisades fires - that was so sad, but I see she must have found some Masters to make them available as downloads. I found a bunch of Kathy Smith's on her site last year - I seldom use them but her form and tips are great and I slip them in recovery/back-off weeks. I used to do a lot of Kari's step workouts back in VHS days - I was so sorry to read she passed away. We had a lot of fun doing her step. And of course I'm a fan of KCM - started with her longer step-box workouts, before her 30MTF dvds.
Those fires.......I'm glad KV found some Masters. She was among my favorites back in the day. I've enjoyed her workouts again!

Darn it! I just got another refund notice! It was for the Blue Mat, placed on Feb. 27th. Sooooooooo disappointed! Are you guys getting refunds on ordered items due to them being out of stock?

Sad for you and others not being able to get items, but I guess good for cathedotcom for getting rid of inventory they no longer want to warehouse. Double-edged.
Yeah, & we're getting items at amazing prices! I'm very happy with what I've received & glad there aren't more items that were refunded.

Strange. I just got an exception alert from USPS saying my pkg was intercepted and redirected by the sender. Delivery date is now unknown. Weird!
That is strange. I haven't had anything like that happen, nor have I seen anyone post something like that. What does that even mean..."intercepted & redirected by sender?" Maybe they realized there was a mistake in the order & need to correct it???

Most likely a problem at the post office. AI directing packages to the wrong place. Things have deteriorated since more companies started using AI. I've had some packages take interesting detours, get lost and then get found and sent on their way.

I can't imagine Cathe sending you the wrong package, then realizing the mistake and asking for it back. It could happen, possibly??? Maybe it's their first such error because of the volume of orders. Given what USPS is charging for shipping, I think they would send another package with missing items before requesting a return.

I'm glad you got it. I almost got the STS bar but it is 5 inches longer than the one I use.

Fact!

This happened to my order. Yes there have been delays because of the 65% sales --- warehouse clearance. I contacted customer service and shout out to Nancy;);) because she has always been helpful. They are all helpful.

Interesting you said that about packages being redirected because of AI. I just had a package coming from California that made it to ABQ (where packages usually make it to me by the next day). So when it didn't show up yesterday as scheduled, I checked the tracking & it left ABQ & took a sightseeing tour to Amarillo, Texas. Two of my Cathe packages stalled in Dallas for 3 days. One of them showed up today in horribly beat up condition but all my items were in it. I wonder why all my packages want to stay in Texas? LOL!

I had a Cathe package that I was afraid was accidently overlooked, but found out today that it was the order that had the out of stock refund on the blue mat. I wonder if they held off sending it out just in case they discovered some more of those mats in the warehouse. I remember reading somewhere that they mentioned checking back on out of stock items in case they found another stash in the warehouse. The box is now in ABQ. I think I'll get it tomorrow or Saturday if it doesn't decide to go to Texas!

I had a package last week reach within 10 miles of my house when it was lost in the system. It took several days before it was located and rerouted to me. I'm not sure where they found it. The emails I got didn't agree with the tracking. It was delivered a day before it showed out for delivery.

I think many carriers are "helping" each other with deliveries to reduce costs. A lot of packages are being transferred to the USPS for the last leg. My guess is there is a poorly written AI- powered software that determines the cheapest route and they are testing it on us in real time. I wonder how long it will be before they fix it or ditch it. It's going to hurt a lot of small businesses.
