Dear Cathe:

I am a long time fan of your fitness tapes and avid exerciser. Your tapes are the only ones that keep me challenged and asking for more. Your professional, athletic approach, and down to earth personality are unmatched in the industry of fitness tapes. I needed to note this even though I know you have heard it many times before.

The reason for my inquiry is a current chain of injuries that I am experiencing in my back, Achilles tendon and knee. I am wondering if it is due to my workout routine. My workout program is as follows:

In the morning before work I am alternating weights and cardio. During the day I guide fitness hikes in the strenuous mountain country surrounding our guest ranch. This way I am working out at least two times per day. I have done this for many years but I have increased my routine with your tapes lately. For example I am doing all three tapes of your “Pure Strengths” Weight Series back to back on my day off, since I love to weight train all muscle groups of my body on the same day. In addition I use your “Maximum Intensity Weight” once a week, and for my third weight training I alternate the “Body Max” and “Circuit Max” every other week. For cardio I mainly use “Maximum Intensity Cardio”, “Step Works” and “Cardio Kicks” in addition to my fitness hikes. Some of my friends are concerned that I am overdoing my routine. I love working out and have a hard time believing that two intense workouts per day are too much, considering the amount of training professional athletes are exposed to. I am 49 (almost 50) years old and always enjoyed what my body can do. My recent tendency to injury has left me frustrated and I would love any advice that you can offer.

By the way, I am the owner of Hidden Creek Ranch, a guest ranch with a program that might be of interest for you and your family. You can visit us at www.hiddencreek.com. I would love to hear from you.

Regards, Iris
