Really need to share

Hi all, it's been eons since I've been on the forum due to some weird health problems. I initially posted about two months ago that I was having some severe overtraining issues. Well to make a long story short, apparently it was not overtraining at all. I started out with radiating pains in my shoulders which seemed to be exacerbated by lifting. After taking several rests from working out and having a myriad of negative tests, I found out yesterday that an MRI I had showed some suspision for demylinating disease (possible ms). Anyway, I have to have an EMG, a spinal fluid test, and another MRI. I'm relieved on one hand that I might have something concrete to work with, but very frustrated that I CANNOT work out at all. It is very painful during and afterwards. So anyhoo, thanks for letting me vent. I maybe needed to put in writing what's going on. It helps sometimes. Also, maybe some of you have had experience with what I'm talking about.....shooting pains, burning, tingling, muscle weakness, etc. Thanks for letting me share.

Hi Sherry,
Sending you lots of (((Hugs))). I can not help you with anything but maybe like you said just finding out is a bit of relief. Now you can work on a game plan for the future.
I do know someone who has had MS for most of her life and she seems to do quite well but I have not been in contact with her in years(live in different states)except for the yearly Christmas cards.
Hoping you can get this under control quickly and am definitely thinking of you.
Sending good vibes your way,
Annette

Like you said, hopefully the tests will give you something concrete to work with and work around. Hope you and your drs get it figured out and you are able to return to your workouts.

Sherry,
No special insight to give you, but wanted to let you know I'm saying some special prayers for you and sending (((((hugs))))) to you also. Hang in there!!! :)

Sending some more {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and good thoughts out. So sorry to hear you have to go through this, once they know more about what's going, they should be able to provide some relief. Good luck with your tests, let us know how it goes.

So sorry to hear about the possible MS diagnosis.:(

I know someone who lives with MS and she seems to do well most of the time. She says she has her good days and bad days.... The meds she is on helps her keep it in check for the most part. Her main complaint is the cost of the medications even with her health insurance. But at least there are some options.

I'm sure you must be scared in this uncertain time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get good news coming your way. The waiting can be pure torture. Best of luck and keep us updated on your progress. ((((Hugs))))
