Just a few comments on this week's show............

First off, I have to confess Simon & Alex have grown on me. I still think they're both weird & kind of creepy, but I do like the mutual respect & love they seem to have for each other. However, WTH is up w/their kids? I'm not a parent so I guess I can't really judge their parenting skills, but I do feel qualified to say their kids are insufferable brats. :p Jill had the patience of a saint when they were tearing through her store.

I just cannot stand Kelly. I adore Bethenny--truthfully I think I'm a lot like her except not as pretty, smart, rich or successful. :D Kelly is dumb as a post, & I have to be honest & say I don't find her BF very attractive. I actually find him somewhat effeminate. But OMG Bethenny's blind date was SMOKIN! I really hope it works out for her.

Anyway, to continue comments on Kelly's incredible stupidity, as much as I love Bethenny I think she's gone a bit far w/Kelly. Bethenny knows Kelly can't match wits w/her, & poor Kelly isn't smart enough to realize it so she keeps getting shredded to ribbons by my girl. It's kind of like watching Hulk Hogan beat up on Richard Simmons. :D

I'm also loving Ramona. I think she & I have had pretty much all the same cosmetic procedures. :p I certainly subscribe to the philosophy of doing it to stay fresh, but not to change your look & def. keep it as natural looking as possible.

Jill is the best. She has a heart of gold.

You know, the "Real Housewives" thing seems to be a misnomer. I don't consider any of these women housewives. Well, maybe LuAnn but that's about it. All these other girls are very successful career women who I really do admire.

And the NYC crowd is so much more sane & respectable than the OC crowd! OMG!
 
I am a parent and I'm of the opinion that Alex & Simon's children are brats as well --

And like you I love Bethanny, she is my favorite of these women, I just think she's got it all together and is brilliant. I love her quick wit and her humor and I can't stand Kelly either -- she is dumb as a post and watching her try to come across as NOT dumb is like watching a trainwreck.

Her whole "I'm up here and you're down here" conversation with Bethanny a couple weeks ago was pathetic and her "that's cute" comment about Jill's daughter's condition was unfreakingbelievable! UGH I am always so irritated with HER when I'm done watching. . . not to mention how absolutely unattractive I think she is. Her face is HARSH.

Bethanny definitely won the whose date is hotter contest :D Kelly's boyfriend is as self centered and dumb as she is, which works for them, I guess.
 
I have not yet watched this week, I have it recorded and will watch it soon. But I always enjoy these gals.

I must agree Alex has grown on me, more than Simon. I like the friendship between her and Bethanny.

Bethanny is and has always been my favorite since day 1. And Laura you couldn't be more right about your assesment of her.

Jill also my fav. I absolutely adore her and find her hysterical.

As for Kelly, I don't like her. I find her phony and self absorbed. And she definetly is not bright. About the only thing she has is a great set of legs.

Laura -- Alex has grown on me, too -- Simon, not so much. They are really too indulgent of their kids' dreadful behavior. I agreed with Bethenny that their house now looks like a bordello. I also agree with you, however, that they do seem to have a nice relationship.

Kelly is a psycho or heavily medicated or something. Every other thing she does or says is a WTF moment. I love Bethenny, too. I'm reading her book right now, and her voice reverberates in my head. Apparently that blind date didn't work out b/c she is (or was) dating Alex Rodriguez -- 1st my DD15 told me, then my baseball-loving DH confirmed.

Love, love Jill! LuAnn won't be a housewife for long after she gets divorced. My DD is reading her book -- apparently it's just a platform for LuAnn to talk about herself.

I'm not happy that the preview suggests that Jill and Bethenny get in a fight next week.

Are y'all going to watch the Real Housewives of New Jersey??? My family is refusing to so I'll need somebody to debrief with each week.
 
The last 2 episodes was the surprise party, Halloween party, at A&P (which I do miss my A&P down south), etc.

I like Alex but her children really do need manners. It drives me batty.

Kelly the jury is out on her. Romana irates me to no end, which is probably something about myself I don't like.

Bethanny is pretty neat.

My fav is Jill by far. She shoots from the hip and doesn't sugar coat.

I wouldn't mind seein' NJ if I can catch it.

Can't wait for the finale next week - I think my husband is more happy than me as he just looks at me when I start watching and shakes his head.

Jill - my favorite. Love her - except I am a bit vexed at the scenes for next week when her and Bethany get into it.

Bethany - the blind date was hot and I think she was a bit frazzled. However - I think men look dorky when sucking on a drink through tiny straws. Minor I know but . . .
Oh - loved that black "Zak Posen" dress.

Kelly - she needs to go, she brings nothing and the way she talks is beyond annoying.

Ramona - needs valium but I would hate to see her gone.

Alex & Simon - I actually like them. However - what did everyone think of the renovation??????? I'm thinking 1930 Bordello in Paris. I really wanted to see more of the kitchen. And they need to lower the hammer on the kids. I can see why Jill was a bit stressed having them in the store. And why would you take kids to pick out blinds - pleeze.

Luann - just curious if anyone knows what her "Count" husband is worth??? Isn't she his 4th wife?? Granted I think they have been married for several years.

I don't know if I can watch the New Jersey one. Might put DH over the edge . . .

I truly dislike Kelly, not even in a "fun to watch train wreck" kind of way, she makes me angry, hopefully they'll kick her off the show and try someone new.

I am TOTALLY going to watch NJ, I work in the town they filmed in :eek:!
 
:confused: Despise Kelly...where the heck did they find her anyway? Who can we call to get her booted off the show? :D

I like Bethenny, Jill and Alex okay and just gag over Romona and Luann.

Luann especially makes me just sick. She's so icky and pretentious.

I saw Bethenny's book at Target the other day, but didn't buy it. I got Jillian's instead :D

I am so wanting to watch New Jersey.
 
Can't wait for NJ! Dela, I'm not sure where they filmed--I think they're all from different towns in the same area. One of them is from Fairfield, it's something like 3 miles from me. I'm a little scared I'll run into one of these ladies in the mall or grocery store or something. :eek: I swear, they're like the Sopranos on steroids! In fact, that one woman who said "our family is thick as thieves" bore a striking resemblance to Tony's sister Janice. :D
 
2 questions...

Is Kelly secretly a man and has she had a labotomy? She is freakishly tall & her face looks very masculine to me. I would never make fun of someone on their looks, but she is such a 1st Class B***h that I don't care...and dumb as a box of rocks! (or just memory deficient)

She is really crazy & not in a "fun to watch" kind of way. I cringe whenever she & Bethenny are together. It's really awful! She NEEDS TO GO!

The only 2 I really like are Bethenny & Jill (love her!) But, still not really sure why Bethenny is on the show since she has no SO or kids. I thought that was kinda the point of the show (housewives - balancing family, etc??)...KWIM

Ramona is kind of a nut & annoying, but she's ok, sorta funny too.

Alex & Simon are just strange (him in particular!), but I do think they truly love & respect each other. The way they handle those kids is a whole other story!

LuAnn - so FULL of herself for what?? I really don't know waht she's about..

Oh! What a fun distraction, to analyze other people that we only know form snippets of their lives on reality TV!

Ahh ok, I know at least one is in Franklin Lakes, I thought it was all there. OMG, I said the same thing to DH, they were totally going for the Sopranos feeling with this cast, and that "thick as thieves" comment just rings through my head in that heavy accent she threw it out there with. I can't wait for this one!
 
I also like Bethenny and I think Kelly is a dope I want to go to Bethenny's book signing on May 5th in Columbus Circle for her her new book Naturally Thin
