Well, after the OC I must admit these women all seem pretty damn saintly. ;) I think part of it might be b/c I know so many women very much like almost all of them. Jill & Bethenny are adorable & remind me of some of my friends. I could definitely hang w/them. I can't believe Bethenny is a chef. How can a chef be a size zero? :eek: I like Ramona too. She's a PIA sometimes, but she seems to be a nice lady.

Alex & Simon are two of the creepiest people I've ever seen. I can't understand why neither one of them seem to be aware Simon is gay. Not that there's anything wrong w/it, but IMO he should just come out of the closet they're currently living in.

LuAnn is a real knockout--perhaps the most beautiful woman on any of the three shows--but she is a complete & total a$$hole (pardon my French). I don't think I've ever seen anyone so full of herself. I can't believe the way she treated Ramona in the last show. Ramona comes to her charity even to help & all LuAnn does is slam her over one off the cuff remark. How many times does Ramona have to apologize to her? Perhaps someday LuAnn will realize the universe does not revolve around her. :rolleyes:

Jury's still out on Kelly. So far she's done nothing but irritate me, but that could be b/c she makes me feel ugly & inadequate. :D
 
Did you see Bethany has a new book out? The secret to her size is not dieting! Apparently she is not naturally thin, but she doesn't obsess over food(imagine that:confused:)

Finally caught up last night. Ramona drives me nuts personally. She has foot in mouth disease. More like combat boot. Her eyes look like she is on a 24/7 drip of speed.

LuAnn does seem full of herself and yet I think she really does have a bigger heart at times. The fact that she can't handle the laundry of two kids and a husband that is not there all that often is mind boggling.

Jill and Bethanny seem the most real.

Simon and Alex - they are anal as hell but I admire the fact that they seem like true soul mates and never seem to have harsh words with each other. They are odd ducks though.

Kelly - I agree - jury is out. I find her boring really. She has been in the news lately for possibly beating up on boytoy boyfriend?

Are they filming Atlanta???

What would be the next part of the country to film this series if you could choose?????
 
I love the NYC housewives. They are my favorites out of all 3 shows.

I love Bethenny she is my absolute favorite of all the housewives.
Jill is my second favorite. I would love to hang out with these 2 ladies.

Ramona is funny. She definetly has foot and mouth disease. I think she means well most of the time but she needs a censor button before she speaks.

Luann is ok. She is definetly more snobby this season than last season, imo. This last episode she was horrendous. Very pretentiousl.

And Alex and Simon are super CREEPY. Simon especially.

Hilarious! I find Ramona quite irritating also! She needs to remember to let her brain work before her mouth.

I love Jill the best. Romona's eyes freak me out...like she's on something..Kelly? HATE HER. She rubs me the wrong way and is super rude and looks like a dude. Sorry, she does, I do not like her at all.
Bethany is just "eh", What is the countess, what is her name? Used to love her, I like her figure, the way she carries herself, but do not like all that etiquette crap, I mean, ugh, whats wrong with chewing with your mouth open?:p;)

Alex and Simon are from another planet, they both creep me out really, really bad and they named their kids these uppity stupid names, sorry , I am being judgmental.

I think I like the Atlanta and the OC wives better..maybe cause I live on the west coast, and I love Kim the white hot mess on the Atlanta show, she is a train wreck.:eek:
 
They should shoot the Las Vegas Housewives" next! That would be a trip to watch wouldn't it? :p

I saw your post and stopped in at BN before I went home last night and bought it! She's my favorite housewife, and she must know what she's talking about - look at her! It will be my fun weekend read, I'll let you all know if it's any good.
 
Actually, Dallas would have been a great choice over Atlanta, that would have been much more fun to watch. I did not like Altanta at all.

I like OC the best, but NY is a close second.

LuAnn, drives me batty, I think she really believes the stuff that comes out of her mouth. All of her countess crap, and her better than everyone attitude just irritates me.

Bethanny is certainly the favorite, very funny lady, and of course far more grounded than the others. I bought her book on Amazon, it hasn't arrived yet. I think I just wanted the skinny girl margarita recipe :cool:

Jill I like too, smart woman, she knows who she is, and does not seem fake, she has money she spends money, there it is! I think her daughter seems sweet too.

Ramona, her very over the top personality is a bit much for me, she just makes me nervous with all that energy but, she's obviously accomplished and smart, and takes very good care of herself and her family, so gotta respect that.

Kelly, I thought I would be interested in, but I'm not, her personality is kind of flat. She's obviously "perfect" on paper, her looks, her money, her job, the horse riding, but perfect isn't always all that fun to watch. Now if they could have shown her beating up her boyfriend, THAT would have been interesting!

Oops! How could I forget Alex and Simon, those 2 nutty people! They are just so silly to me, all the posturing and the St. Barts (Not saint, say it fast, Sn Barts). The tiny speedos, the shopping addiction, etc. It's good they are teaching the kids French and all, but I can't help it, it just add to their overall kind of put on pretentious nature.

Agreed with the bolded parts! :) I thought it was super rude of LuAnn (aka Mrs Delesseps, the Countess :rolleyes:) to ask Betheny if her photos were going to be retouched. I think she was a tad jealous that Bethany was going to be on the cover.
 
I haven't seen it yet, but I did read in People on line, that Alex lost her job w/Victoria's Secrets. I did see something on TV with DHNY and the Countess comin' out with a new book on Manners. I haven't seen the shows yet. Thanks for keepin' me posted!

I've never seen the show, but I did buy the book. I haven't even finished the book yet, but so far, she gives gives you 10 rules and (Im only on the 6th rule) and I already feel better about eating and food! She has some great insights for people like me, who have gotten totally messed up with all the conflicting (and ridiculous) info. out there. I'm so glad I bought it.

There are a few things "the Countess" forgets when it comes to marriage. First, in the good old US of A, there ain't no such thing as royalty, so her name is LUANN for god's sake! Second, in Europe, unless you're born a Countess, you'll never really be considered royalty. People might make concessions to it, but she'll really only be the low-bred American model the count married b/c he was thinking w/his pants, not his brain. ;) I mean let's face it, what is this woman's background anyway? What makes her a countess? What makes her an expert in manners? The crap her husband's family taught her so she wouldn't embarass them in public? :eek:

Third, and most important, the number one rule of manners is to respect people as human beings, regardless of their titles or bank accounts. :mad:
 
Gag me..."countess" indeed. And whats funny, she has a book on etiquette. I agree with Laura many times over,respect your fellow human beings, "countess" or not. God I hate all that uppity crap, it has never, ever settled well with me. I think I would hate the Hamptons...just cause of the snobbery...:confused: I prefer my people the "pheasants" of the world...just sayin'...

Actually from now on I wish to be addressed as "Princess." If you do not address me as Princess, I may very well make very catty comments about you and, if you do it twice, I'll mention what a b*tch you are in my book about manners. :cool:

I just finished reading the ten rules (part one of the book) and am looking forward to part two. It's nice to read it from her perspective - she's not a doctor telling you what to do. She's just like me and had the same thoughts and obsessions about food and how it controls us! The best part is she found a way to get past it all and lead a normal life without dieting and counting every calorie or carb or fat gram. I feel better about eating already as well!
 
I am going to try and see if the library has this book.

I did see about 15 minutes of NYC the other day: LuAnn didn't like the way Romona had spoken about her husband, yadayadaya. What I saw the whined over trival things. Then Alex and Simon were on their way to "holiday." I wonder how the renovations will turn out?
