Random Poll: fave candle scent

Cathlete
seems so quiet in here today. I thought of this after taking a big whiff of my Yankee Candle Christmas Cookie car freshener. Goodness, I think I could seriously EAT some of their candles! My faves are, well, christmas cookie, french vanilla, honeydew, raspberry sorbet, clean cotton...oh geez those are a handful of my faves.

Happy Sunday and BOO y'all :)

I SWEAR by Little House Candles. They are the strongest & best smelling candles I have ever owned. They are much better than Yankee IMO and are only 10 bucks for a quart. She makes these mason jar candles herself & has them delivered within a couple of days.

My favorite scents by them are:
*French Vanilla
*Spiced Pear
*Island Mango
*Cranberry
*Orange Sage
*Spiced Pumpkin
*Creamsicle

I can go on and on...Their candles are amazing...Here's the link if anyone is interested:

Debbie,

Their prices really can't be beat for the quality. Everyone who walks in my house questions the smell. Even when they aren't lit! The candles are that strong! Their customer service is great too. You won't be sorry:)

Gosh, I haven't burned candles in sooo long! I don't think I even have any anymore...I'd have to dust them off before I burned them if I did! LOL I love 'em, don't get me wrong, I just don't think to burn them anymore....

Anywho...I was big time in to Partylite candles...infact, I was even a consultant for them for a short time (wasn't my thing so I quit but I got lots of cheap or free candles out of it!:)).

I LOVE those candles and the holders are gorgeous too!

As far as fave scents...they put out sooo many yummy flavors but I can't even recall a single one by name at this point!:(

The one I am burning today is "Snicker Doodle Cappuccino" from Madeline's Scents. I'll tell you, the whole house smells WONDERFUL. Like someone is baking brownies and making coffee!!! I also have one of these candles at work that is Sage Citrus. When I burn it in my office upstairs, you can smell it all the way downstairs!! They are more fragrant than Yankees, partylite and any others I've tried. Here is the web site....they are made in Wyoming!

This is such a timely topic for me! I am just getting back into candles. I have a ton, but haven't been burning them much over the past couple of years. For some reason, scents are so important to me lately--I've discovered some new lotions and candles that I just love...

Right now I'm burning Cranberry Orange from Yankee Candle. It is so yummy, and very strong. Yesterday I burned Buttercream, which smelled great, but didn't have a very good throw.

My absolute favorite smell of all time was Peppermint Swirls by Yankee Candles, but they no longer carry it. Jack Frost is close, but not quite it :(

I love Holiday Wreath by Gold Canyon Candle Company. It smells like Christmas.

Celebration by Village Candles is a discontinued scent that smelled like a butterscotch brownie. I could have eaten that one!

Birthday Cake by Gold Canyon Candles is also delicious. I'm obviously into the food scents :)

Thanks for the links to the other candle sites. I've added them to my favorites!

Only because you asked....http://www.mysoybella.scent-team.com/candles.php

These are my favorites! I got hooked on them last year after buying a number of them for the holidays. I am a former Yankee/Partylite etc gal, but I have to say these are the yummiest!!! They are a soy vegetable blend, triple scented, no petroleum in the wax nor lead in the wicks. Virtually soot free so they do not turn all black and sooty as others do and the soy wax burns at a lower temp so they last longer....jars are 100 hour candles.

The scents are amazing and I absolutely love these candles! Creme Brulee and Cinnamon Raisin Bun are my current favorites. I have others in different rooms, but the living room and kitchen get these two right now. Mulled Cider is the next one I will burn.

Jes, there are baked goods galore, and Banana Nut Bread is to die for!!

I am a candle fanatic, and you have really pushed my button here:D

I don't really prefer a specific brand, just scent. I love vanilla, honeydew and also cinnamon apple scent. BUT..... I don't light mine. I went to Michaels (the craft store) and got the candle warmer for 10 bucks. You plug it in, put your jar on top and turn it on. Its better to buy the candles in the small jars rather than the large jars.

There's a woman locally who makes them, they're really powerful, my favorite of hers is without a doubt baby powder. It makes the whole house smell fresh & clean! Well, maybe fresh, clean & doggy.

I like holiday candles too--right now I have Yankee Candle pumpkin spice in my LR, & through the holidays I'll have some kind of evergreen candle in pretty much every corner of my house.

I don't burn candles anymore because of my cat. I'm afraid that he'll either knock it over or set himself on fire. That actually happened to a friend's cat. He unknowingly put his tail into the flame and set it on fire. Fortunately, he wasn't seriously hurt but when you think of what could've happened:eek: ;(

Okay, you want to know something sad?? I have anosmia which means I can't smell candles...or anything! I still burn candles but I have my kids pick out the ones that smell the best. I'm kinda paranoid about the house smelling good - since I wouldn't know otherwise!

Angie

Jeez Angie that kind of sucks.......I think.........at least you don't have to resist the aroma of french fries when you drive by Wendy's, but on the other hand, I'm guessing you can't wear perfume b/c you don't know what smells good & what doesn't. A double edged sword LOL.

...and if Angie has pets, she can't smell the fowl odors that THEY can emit! That's a GOOD thing! :7
Our dog goes on farting-binges where he farts CONSTANTLY for days on end and they smell AWFUL..stomach-turning AWFUL! x(

Hi Joanna,

Let me know how you like it! I don't have that scent, but I might order it. I just ordered 4 candles from there yesterday:p

Right now I have an Apple Cider one from Home Interiors. LOVE IT! So fallish. I put mine on a coffee cup warmer instead of burning the wick, its healthier that way. It takes a while to melt the entire candle, but it smells just as good!

LOL!! Wendy, I have TWO gassy dogs that can empty a ROOM when they pass gas, while I'm sitting there oblivious as can be!

It's definitely got it's good points and bad points. I can't smell baking cookies (although my taste is not affected) but I also can't smell (natural) gas or smoke in the house so I have a smoke detector on every floor of my tiny house. My kids are my nose. ;)

Angie

I tend to get hungry when I smell good food even if I just ate so not being able to smell it would probably do me a world of good! I'd probably drop 10 pounds in an instant! }(

Good thing you have a house full of noses to do your smelling for you, Angie!:) I guess you couldn't smell poopy diapers either when your girls were babies, huh? I'm sooo jealous!Wanna come over and be my poopy diaper changer person!? LOL :p
