Quirky Lowmax "da-da" Mystery: Solved! Ha!

Biteset

Cathlete
Dear Cathe,

1.) You're wonderful--your workouts are nothing but a blessing to me. Thank you for all your substantive and creative output!

2.) Aha! I finally figured it out! At the start of Blast #4 in Lowmax, you describe a move as kind of a "da-da". Cathe, I swear, at that moment you look and sound JUST LIKE my MOTHER. My 100% German mother... Today I read that you have German parents. Hmm. Coincidence? Is the "da-da" a German-ism? It's also your da-da hand gestures and da-da facial expression. It's so cute! (despite reminding me of my mother, lol!)

So, I think I've solved the mystery of that one video moment when you break Cathe character. I'm so relieved. Now I can stretch and rest.

Love,
Gisela

RE: Quirky Lowmax

Hi Gisela! How funny that you bring this "word" up. I have to tell you honestly that it is not a German-ism but rather a whole hearted blank out-ism. Usually when I am at a loss for words I call a cut but in this case I hesitated and thought for a second "should I explain that better?". Then quickly thought "naah, let it go, its not a big deal". So I went with it. But I admit, after viewing it in the edit room a few days later, I wished that I did call for a cut. Oh well, I am at least glad to see that you found some humor in it :7 Makes me feel better :)

Take Care!

RE: Quirky Lowmax

Cathe, I'm glad you left it in. It makes the workout seem more "real time" than taped!

RE: Quirky Lowmax

I just did this workout this morning. The thing I think is funny about the "da-da" episode is watching Cedie laughing in the background. She clearly thought your descriptions was pretty darn cute, just like we do! BTW, I am loving Low-Max, I'm eagerly awaiting Low Impact Circuit. :) Heather

Frankly...how COULD you explain it better? I think it was a "let me just show you" moment, as opposed to "let me explain it". It was a really effective approach for that move, and sure got the idea across really quickly! There are times in teaching for "telling", and other times for just "showing".

I can't believe you ever are at a loss for words and have to call for a cut. Really? ;-)

RE: Quirky Lowmax

Wow, that's great that you all got the message that I was hoping to deliver hands down (or feet down :7 )

Paula, you are right, thats exactly the message I was trying to convey....that its the sound your feet make when hitting the floor :D

Btw, yes, low impact circuit will have more low impact high intensty.
