Quick recovery for DOMS?

I've been working on my 1RM this week w/ plans to start STS on Monday. However, I'm so sore & still have more 1RM exercises to do. Is there anything I can do (supplements, diet, etc) to get over the DOMS a little more quickly so I'll be ready to start STS Monday?

I would suggest making sure to add extra stretching routings in (maybe one right before bed).

If you have a foam roller that can help break up the tightness.

I also find walking (not too fast but not too slow) can help (even upper body DOMS because of the arm motion while walking).

Good luck and I hope you find something that helps.

Thanks y'all...I'll try to stretch more today, tonight & in the morning. I'm eating clean & sometimes have a protein shake after workouts but I didn't today, just not in the mood.

Soak in a tub of magnesium salts, like Epsom or something from Whole Foods that has Dead Sea Salt, 100 percent pure is the best. If it says use a cup for the tub, put in more.

Nothing beats real food for healing...

As far as healing muscles that have been broken down and rebuild faster and better, and ease DOMS, the number one choice is protein. Ideally you want a serving of 3-4oz of quality protien whether it is from whole foods like eggs or chicken or cottage cheese, or whether it is from a quality protein shake supplement, immediately following your workout, and then also make sure you have 3-4oz at each meal as well. Combine that with healing foods that are high in Vitamin C, like jicama, papaya, kale, broccoli, and red peppers and you will be fit and recovered in no time!
