Questions about Meso 3

Hi Cathe (or educated folks! ;)),

I have a few questions about Meso 3 that I was hoping I could get some help with. :)

First off, I feel like Meso 2 really helped me put on some muscle and get some definition. (I can see my abs more than I have ever been able to see them before! Hooray!) I know that Meso 3 focuses primarily on strength, so my question is this: will we continue to build some muscle, lose some fat, and get more defined during Meso 3? If those are our goals, will it still be effective to do Meso 3?

My second set of questions are about the leg workouts for Meso 3. I bought some squat racks so I can do the squat rack workouts, but I've been reading the last few months about people using the Plyo workouts as cardio workouts. Would it be counterproductive if I did both Meso 3 leg workouts (one squat rack workout and one Pylo workout) each week? If I did so, I would go down on my weights with the Plyo workouts, and space the leg workouts as far apart as possible during the week. I've done some past rotations that work legs twice a week, but, since STS is so intense, would doing this lead to overtraining?

Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can offer! :)

Thanks for asking Leanne, I am interested in the answers to these questions as well, particularly doing BOTH plyo and squat rack legs. I do STS three days a week and run on the other three days. So that would live me three days of running, two days of lower body, and two days of upper body... Too much?

Hey, Leanne -- great questions! DH & I are tentatively planning to do both plyo legs (more as cardio) and squat rack legs in M3, so I'll be very interested to see what Cathe thinks. Congrats on the abs!!!

I'm doing both versions - squat rack and plyo. I have 2 leg days per week, and it's working wonderfully!! The plyo workout is definitely a como of strength and cardio all rolled into one sweaty ball.

Jan -- That's great to hear that you're doing both leg workouts and are getting great results! If I don't hear back from Cathe, I may just try it out, too!

Lisa -- I bought the portable Valor squat racks from overstock.com about five months ago. Someone posted a coupon code for an extra 10% off, so it might be good to hunt around to see if you can find one. ;)

Kristi -- Glad you and Todd are planning on doing the same thing!
