hi helen, welcome to the boards. i am not cathe but she has be on and off the forums lately(probably working on the 4 new videos)so maybe i can help you get an answer. what step video did you buy? cathe uses quite intricate choregraphy that takes some time to learn. its possible you got an advanced workout with tough choreography. i do had a video as such when i bought my step. she does have beginner videos with very simple choreography to make it easy to learn her style. don't know if you are interested in that or what your fitness level is.
i would also suggest trying to post your message on the open forum as well b/c somebody there might help you with your question and have some other advice for you.

Here's a sit that shows how to do many step moves. Not all of Cathe's moves may be on there (or they may be under different names, for example, what Cathe calls a "horseshoe" is typically called a "turn step."
