Question re; juicers

Kathryn,

I went back and read that thread, and I noticed that you have the Green Star juicer. I have that as well, and was wondering if you could explain which pieces you use (or leave out) to make the nut butter. I'm looking to make almond butter specifically, as it's one of the few things I can eat on this stupid candida diet :). It's so expensive to buy at the store, so maybe this could save me a bit.

Also, I just read "Green for Life" and have started incorporating as many green smoothies into my diet as well. Without many fruit options right now, it's hard to get used to, but I make one almost every day. If you end up trying any of the savory smoothies, please let me know how they are! I'm kind of afraid of them.

I havent tried the nut butters yet, but when you make them, you use the closed insert (forgot what it's called). There should be directions with your machine. I can't take you through it from memory, because I haven't done it yet, so I'd be afraid I'd leave out some important info! (I do remember reading about it, and the instructions were pretty clear).

I have the Léquip juicer....it could juice rocks....and it makes nut butters too....the gal who sold it to me is Theresa, and her awesome site is Ripe4harvest.com - full of great fun stuff...
