Hi Cathe-
Had some questions on form in the Back section of this video.
The first question is: When doing T-Bar Rows, Should you feel any resistance in your quads while doing the reps? I lift about 55 lbs in the second two sets of this segment. Is this OK, or do I need to change my stance a bit?
The second question is in regard to the shrugs. Where should you feel the work? Should it be more towards your collarbones or more towards the back of your shoulders below the neck? (I lift 8-10 lbs with these exercises.)

PS..I can't believe how much this particular tape has improved my posture. My sister used to tell me I walked like a "cliff ape." She doesn't say that anymore!!! (Sisters are a riot, aren't they?)

Thanks again for such great stuff!!!

Hi Lynn!

Whatever weight that you can safely handle with good form is the weight that you should use. If you have good form with 55 pounds and lift in a safe and controlled manner, then that weight is good for you. Yes, it is normal for you to feel some of the resistance in your quads(especially with heavier weight)since your legs are working to maintain your balance.

When doing shrugs, you will feel the work in both of those areas. Thats because the shrug exercise works the trapezius muscle which runs from the base of the neck down and outward toward both shoulders.

Thats great that your posture has improved so much. Shrugs actually play a big role in improving posture. It obviously is working well for you. Good for you!
