Question for Honeybunch

Hi :)
I've been debating all day whether or not to ask you this question because if ANYONE has one, it's you! :)

As much as I ranted over Leaner (meaner) Legs, I have to admit that any lower body workout that I can feel with this much intensity has GOT TO BE worth committing to with regularity. So my question is: do you have a rotation utilizing LL 2x/week?
my problem is, I am currently doing CTX so to get the 2nd workout each week for my upper body, I plan to do PowerHour, which would give me 2 workouts/week for each upper body part and 3 workouts/week for lower body since Powercircuit utilizes weights and is a lower body workout. But I'm wondering if it is physically possible to do powercircuit and LL on the same day, that way although I will totally exhaust my legs that day, I will have 48 hrs recovery and I get in a 2nd day of LL for the week.
Any suggestions? I'd hate to give up PowerHour for LL, I'd really like the variety for my lower body, plus the legs in PH are broken up, it's not a straight segment like the other strength workouts.
So any suggestions you may have for incorporating LL 2x/week without losing PH will be appreciated.
I'm still a little "rotation challenged" :)

Here's an idea for a CTX week in which you want to incorporte Power Hour:

Sunday: Leaner Legs
Monday: 10-10-10 with triceps
Tuesday: Step and Intervals with chest
Wednesday: Power Circuit with back AND biceps (from Kickbox tape)
Thur: All Step with shoulders
Friday: off
Saturday: Power Hour and Kickbox following for cardio (optional)

Depending on your time available during the week, you may want to do the biceps from the KB tape after you do Leaner Legs on Sunday (assuming Sunday is a day off work for you).

How's that?

Personally, I would NOT try to do LL twice in one week, especally since you're doing PC and PH. But that's just me.

Thanks, and the more I thought about it, the more I figured it might be overload.
Would you in your opinion sacrifice PH-legs for LL? The PH leg segments are broken up, squats sequence-some upper body-lunges sequence, so I could still do PH for my 2nd upper body day, just fast forward through the 2 legs segments and leave LL for after I finish PH upper body.
What do you think?
thanks, :)
Donna

IF you're still going to do Power Circuit in the same week, then no, I would not do LL twice. If however, you are NOT going to do Power Circuit, then you could do LL twice and not do the leg exercises in Power Hour. Leaner Legs is so intense, I would hesitate to do it more than once in one week along with a lot of other leg work.

That's just an opinion based on how LL makes ME feel!

Thank you so much :)
p.s. I posted a legs recovery question over at "ask Cathe", if you get a chance, could you check it out and give me your opinion please :)
thanks,
Donna

I read your post, and I must again comment from my own experience. I had two personal trainers tell me I was overdoing it with my leg work (I was doing the Lower Body Solution), so I backed off to two a week. I was not seeing the gains I wanted, plus I was burning myself out.

Personally, I think the biggest difference with me was due to my being able to do the leg extentions and leg curls at home due to Santa's bringing me a weight bench with the attachments for doing leg work. For me, mush above the knee and the inner thigh was the worst problem, and I've come up with the right mix. It's not training more, it's training smarter, and finding the right balance for you as an individual, and boy, that can take time! Lower Body Solution was too much for me, so I had to back off.

That rest time between workouts is VERY important!
