hello,
i had read abt these vitamins on this forum..will someone give me more details..i looked up their website...y r they so expensive...and for those who have used it...r they really worth as compared to other over-the-counter vitamins...can i get some discount..im ointerested in the multivitamin tabs..thank u.

I don't personally use them but lots of folks on these boards do and sing thier praises! I'm sure someone will help you out who takes them. If I felt I needed a higher quality vitamin I would try them out personally because of all of the good reviews Shaklee has gotten. I've even considered trying them anyway just to see if they make any difference!

Hi Pharmagal. I can tell you from my personal experience that these vitamins really did help turn my overall health around. But, I can tell you this, everyone reacts differently to the vitamins depending on where your current health status is. I know I was not getting my 5 fruits/vege's a day and I was feeling pretty crappy. When a friend told me to try them, I did try them, and for me I noticed an improvement in my overall health. After being on them for 3 months, I noticed my hair and nails were growing like crazy, those dull afternoon headaches went away, and I just had a good, clean energy level. Like I said, I was coming from a pretty depleted state as well, so I noticed a difference.
I guess for me I know I need to supplement because I have gaps in my diet. I used to teach 8th grade science and cells and it all comes down to our cells. Every minute our body is producing millions of cells. To make these cells, our body needs protein, fat, water, and vitamins/minerals. If we are missing some of the key vitamins, we are making weaker cells. If this goes on year after year, our body will start throwing warninig signs at us telling us that something is not right.
There was a post on here a long time ago on the difference of vitamins. I actually found it, which suprised me. Here is the link to that old thread where we discussed the difference in vitamins and how/why Shaklee's are special.

Also, you may find it interesting to read people's results as well. Here is a link to that post:

There are Shaklee reps all over the U.S. If you don't know one, I would be glad to help you out. If you want to read a little bit about me and my whole Shaklee story, my website is www.shaklee.net/robin_walker (click on the ABOUT ME) tab.

I have been taking the Shaklee Vitamins now for about 4 months. I can tell a BIG difference in the way that I feel! Before I was taking a multi. vitamin, calcium tab., Vit. B, and Vit. C but really couldn't tell any difference in the way that I felt. With the Shaklee Vit. if I miss a day I feel REALLY ucky & tired, for instance if I am riding in a car I would just fall asleep I would try to stay awake but would keep dozing off. I have a lot more energy now. I get up at 5:30 am and workout and then I have the Soy Protein drink & take the vitamins. The vitamins are in a mulit pack that is packed for each day & are so convient to take. I don't eat very good when it comes to getting enough fruits & veggies so the vitamins help out a lot! they take over in what I am missing in my diet. I also take the Soy Protein Drink it has helped my hair & nails. My hair used to be so thin & fine, but it is getting fuller from the extra protein in my diet. Sometimes I will mix in a tab. of the vanilla protein with the milk in my cereal to give it a little more protein. It stays with me a lot longer than the cereal alone. If I just have cereal I am hungry in a couple of hr. It has also helped my nails, before they would chip & I just couldn't get them grow.
I think that you should give them a try.

I take the vita-lea multivitamin w/out iron as well as nutriferon from Shaklee. I swear by these products. I have much more energy, never get a cold or virus or flu. Couple that with a healthy diet & I'm one very healthy person. I paid the $20 to become a member. I get the discounted price b/c I'm a member. The vitamins are top quality due to the fact that it hits your bloodstream w/in 20 min. instead of the over-the-counter ones that do not do this. Your body doesn't absorb the entire vitamin from OTC kinds. Its definitely well worth your money. For me there's just no price on staying healthy. JMO, Kathy:D

Here's another Shaklee lover. I take Vita-Lea, B-Complex, Nutri-feron, Opti-flora, Joint Health Complex and a couple other ones I can't think right now. They work wonders. I have a lot of energy and I'm not as moody either. I have a moderate underactive thyroid. I do not trust drugs and do not want to be on drugs for the rest of my life so I am following Shaklee's program for people who have underactive thyroid. My weight is coming off much faster now after 4 months of being plateaued. I don't feel as lethargic, I'm rarely sick, and I hardly have any of those symptoms of underactive thyroid now. I do feel a difference if I miss one day or more. I'm also a member as I purchase something from them often.( Robin, you lucky dog, you....Getting all the points. :p) I think it's worth it. I'm somewhat of a cheapskate when it comes to me but this is worth it. What's even great about it is if you do not like the product, you send it back and get a full refund. Something you don't get from the grocery store or a lot of other companies. Give it a month and see if you feel any difference. I wish you a lot of luck! :)

Hi,
I ordered the Shaklee vitamins from Robin after the last thread - it seemed like a very good idea and it was! I started with Vita Lea and Vita C, and I felt immediate energy improvements. Now I am taking B complex, Vita E on occasion, and Lecithin. The soy protein powder is a good addition to a smoothie or just with juice for me.
I am probably older than most Cathe-ites, but the Shaklee vitamins have helped me with the strength training, which I love, and the step, which I am still learning. Today the NutriFeron, Optiflora and Omega Guard arrived, as they sounded like a good complement to the overall program.
The health store vitamins I was taking before were pretty expensive and didn't have any noticeable impact, but now I feel a true difference. I'm hoping my hair and nails will become stronger over time.
If they work for you, it is an excellent investment in your health. "I'll never go back!"
Aloha,
Dede:)

I took them for several months and never noticed a difference in how I felt. However, my diet is pretty darn healthy. I went back to an over-the counter because the Shaklee was just too expensive.

Well I'll be the voice of dissent. My mom took this stuff for years and I don't think it made a bit of difference. She does just as well taking vitamins, eating well, exercising, and voila.

My mother had us on these as kids, but I stopped when I went to school (and had to pay for them myself! :)) I got 'back on the wagon' last year when I needed a pre-natal and the prescription varieties were making me sick. All I can say is that I wish I'd gotten back on them sooner! I feel fantastic - despite sleepless nights and a hectic work, family(3 kids under 4),and study schedule. For me, they are worth every penny because I get so much more out of every day! Even my OB dr. was impressed...she used to joke about how disgustingly energetic, happy, and healthy I was, right up to delivery.

I guess you would have to try it and see - it's different for everyone, it seems. Good luck!

Thanks evryone for ur replies...can i order these vitamins directly from the website or i have to look for a retailer..im definitely going to give thm a try...

Hey Lisa

Yes, there is a liquid form, but I actually steer people toward a product called Citriboost. It is in powder form and you can mix it in your morning OJ or protein shakes or whatever. The liquid vitamin is good, but honestly, I don't think it tastes the greatest. Also, Citriboost contains 23 vitamins & minerals, plus acidopholus & prebiotics (good for intestinal health). The liquid vitamin called Liqui-Lea only has 10 vitamins. So for people who hate swallowing pills, Citriboost is a good choice. Here is a link to CitriBoost if you want to read more about it:

Here's another vote in favor of Shaklee. Aside from the vitamins I LOVE the soy protein powder and the optiflora. I've also got my kids on the vitamins and the optiflora - what a huge difference I've seen in them! I was taking the iron supplements but I've since backed off of that after seeing how much iron I get in my diet. But the factor that I really like is having the rep who can help me with questions. Robin is invaluable - you've got a question - she's got an answer - and if she doesn't know it she'll get it. I would vote for trying them and seeing what you think.

I just wanted to drop a note and answer a couple of questions I have been getting over email. A lot of people are wondering what "membership" means with Shaklee. All membership means is that you save 15% on every product every time you buy. There are no membership renewal fees. It also puts you on Shaklee's mailing list so you are aware of their specials and promotions. Also, if you choose to be a part of my Shaklee group, it makes you elligible for my personal specials that I run periodically as well for members.

And no, you do not have to be a member to order. You can place a visitor order (and pay a higher price).

The other question I am getting is about their free membership deal. Yes, Shaklee is running a special where you can get free memberhip (worth $19.95) if you place an order of 50PV (PV stands for product value). There is a counter in the upper right hand side of the screen and it will tell you how many "PV" you have and if you qualify for free membership.

Please feel free to email me personally if you have any more questions (or write on here and I will check back soon :)

This is my first time posting here. In fact, I had to register so I could do this post. I've been a lurker! I read the posts on this site awhile back about the Shaklee vitamins and finally decided to give them a try.

First, let me give you a little background on me. I'm 41 years old, work full time and have four children and a husband. I workout 6-7 days a week. I eat pretty clean (I have a terrible sweet tooth!). I ordered the Basics Vita Strip Pack with iron and the soy protein. I started taking them on Tuesday and by Wednesday I noticed a HUGE difference in my energy level and my mood. These are awesome! I've taken vitamins before and have never noticed a difference.

Obviously, there is something in these vitamins that my body needs and wasn't getting. I was feeling tired all the time (well, duh, I have four kids). I know I don't get enough rest, but I've been feeling really good this week. I feel "balanced" now. My moods are not going from one extreme to the other. My doctor told me I'm perimenopausal and I've just accepted the mood swings. But this week I have felt wonderful. I've had some great workouts. I will definitely keep taking these vitamins.
