question abt shaklee vitamins

I get most of my vitamins from my food and of the ones I don't (like calcium) I make sure the absortion is great and the pill contains exactly what it is supposed to contain by reading the reports of an independent testing organization called Consumer Labs. You absolutely cannot trust vitamin companies to have what they list. I bet shaklee is a reputable company......I wasn't really looking but I did see one of its vitamin products on an approved list, but there were plenty of other "less expensive ones" on the same list that do the same thing. If it were me, I would buy the other less expensive brands that got the exact same approval then buy myself something with the money I saved.

Just my $0.02,
Robin

While looking into shaklee.com their are so many vitamins to choose from. Which Particular vitamin is everyone taking to increase their energy?

Thanks,
Jenn

Hey Jen. It really depends on where you are coming from. How many fruits/vege's are you getting in a day? If you are getting your 4/5 servings of fruits/vege's (preferably raw), just a multi-vitamin is good insurance for you. Shaklee has a multi-vitamin called Vita-Lea. If you are pre-menopausal, you get NO IRON formula, if you are pre-menopausal, then you would take the iron formula.

For me personally, I try to focus on these foods, but I still fall short. Most people who say they 'feel' a difference are taking the BASICS vitamin strips. This is what I personally take and I really notice a positive difference in the quality of my workouts and just my overall feeling of health. If you want to read more about just the multi-vitamin (Vita-Lea) here is the link: http://www.shaklee.net/robin_walker/search?search=Prod&keywords=Vita-Lea

If you want to read more about the Basics, here is a link to that product as well: http://www.shaklee.net/robin_walker/search?search=Prod&keywords=Basics

Please feel free to email me if you need any additional info ([email protected] that is the addy I have access to today). I am checking my email on and off throughout the day today. I am actually at a Shaklee conference this weekend in Chicago (which is a blast!)

We have been getting sports nutritional training and I found out that the Winter Olympic Ski Team are all on Shaklee. How cool is that! :) They have been on the Basics Vitamin Strips, Soy Protein, Performance & Physique. I just thought that is really neat!
