Question About Using Dumbbells

I know this has been asked and answered before, but I couldn't locate it. In reviewing Disc 19, I noticed that we will be increasing and decreasing our weight. I was thinking of using dumbbells versus a barbell, so my question is this: If your target weight says 24 lbs or 35 lbs does that mean total weight or should each dumbbell be the target weight. I just want to make sure I am lifting correctly.

It depends on how you entered in the numbers for your 1RM. If you used a BB for your 1RM test, then the number that appears on your workout card should be your total weight (so split it in 2 for each DB weight). If you used dumbbells for your 1RM test, you could either enter in the weight for 1 DB or 2. Personally, I entered in 1 DB weight, so I know when 15# pops up on a DB exercise, I need to grab 2 of those. But it all depends on how you entered in the data originally. Good luck!
