Question about socks..........

Calico

Cathlete
Does anybody here find that if you once enjoyed knee high socks that now they don't fit over your calf anymore?! I usually wear knee highs in the winter because I tend to be cold alot and I like them. But this year in particular I am finding that they are tight on my calf and are hard to get off.:+ Probably just a welcome side effect from Cathe's workout. But now I need crew socks (which by the way the ones I am finding are pricey), so they don't come over my calf anymore. Does anybody else finding this a problem and having to rethink their preferences in socks?

Thanks:7

Just purchased some at Target and at WalMart. They are so stretchy, I think they would fit over anything.

I have that problem with boots! I haven't been able to find winter boots I like in the last few years because they won't zip over my calves (which have always been big). I haven't noticed a problem with socks, though.

I haven't worn knee socks since I was in high school. I tend to wear socks that come to just below my calves.

But...the other day I went shopping for my Christmas present from my husband. He (I) found this wonderful pair of black leather dress boots for me to wear with my skirts so I don't freeze at my office. When I tried them on, I couldn't get the left one zipped up! It wasn't going over my calf muscle. The right one was fine (this leg is a tiny bit smaller because of when I broke my hip and the leg atrophied from disuse. It's never quite gotten back to the size of the other one). Since I liked the boots so much, I kept working on them until I got it zipped. Eh...they're leather and will stretch!

I don't think I would have had this problem before Cathe's calf raises.
