Question about Medical Billing

You guys are so knowledgable so I thought I would ask. My daughter is 20 years old and has decided that she would like to go into the medical field so she is choosing Medical Billing and Coding. Would she be better off going to a community college for training or an online school? How long does it take, etc. Any information you have will be much appreciated.

I think she would be better off taking it at your local community college if they offer an internship as part of the course. All the job ads I've ever seen for that require experience so an internship would help her get real world experience as well as make contacts for job opportunities. Lots of offices hire their interns after they graduate.

Thanks so much for you response. I didn't even think of an internship, I'll tell her that her best bet would be a community college.
