I'm just getting back into my exercise routine after an on again off again 2 year hiatus. I have a new HRM. The polar F4 I think. It is specifically for women. The last one I had was the Polar A5 and it broke. My question is this. I'm doing the same workouts I was doing 2 years ago but the F4 shows me burning alot more (75-100) calories more per workout than the A5 did. And I'm trying to get back to the physical condition I was in 2 years ago so I'm not able to work as hard for as long as I was back then. I was just wondering why the difference in calories burned for different HRMs. I can't believe I would burn more calories than I was when I was in pretty good shape cuz I'm really struggling on the cardio routines, whew!
Thanks for any input.
