Question about CrossFire and To The Max cardio segments

Hi Cathe,

I just want to say that I love your new workouts, CrossFire and To The Max. I have a question regarding the different cardio segments. I get up early and workout before I go to work, so time is of the essence for me. After I do weights, I'd like to follow it with one of the Tabatas from CF or TTM, my question is this, if I'm already warmed up and coming off another workout, like STS or similar weights workout, do I need to take the time to do another warm up, or could I just go straight to the tabata segment? Please let me know what you think.

I never do a warm up before weights if coming off a cardio workout, but I think in your case, adding cardio after weights, I would. Cardio involves larger range of motion than weights and moving the whole body at the same time, requiring much power from the legs. You might be a little stiff after weights, or only have worked the upper body, so I would definitely do a cardio warm up before HiiT or tabata, because each of these takes you right into very intense movement and up to the anaerobic threshold. This needs to be prepared for.

I exactly did what has been advised by Clare: Gs weight lifting followed by TTM premix. Yes i did warm after completing Gs. It felt sensible and right!:)
