question about chest work and biceps soreness

Hi Cathe! Quick question for you!

I notice that as I chest work, I feel throbbing in my arms (mostly biceps) as well as my chest. It almost seems as though it is more in my arms than chest when I am working the muscles. However, the next day my chest is sore and my arms are not (if there is soreness at all). I listened to your instructions closely and I made sure that my arms did not go below the level of the step on the way down. My form seems fine, as far as I can tell.

Do you think my form might be off? Or does this sometimes happen?

Hi Timber 99! It is so normal for you to feel fatigue in your arms while doing chest work. Especially during hi rep workouts such as Power Hour. Not only are they working hard assisting the chest muscles, but they are being held up in the air for a while which can make them feel fatigued. Just like those times when you raised your hand in the classroom and the teacher didn't call on you right away. You tended to need to put your arm down and shake it out a bit before continuing to raise it. The fact that your chest is sore the next day and your arms are not tells me you are doing it just fine. Take Care!
