Okie dokie, starting this off with some basic hotel info for ya. Please remember that [font size=3][font color=red]the hotels will not be accepting Cathe Road Trip preferred rate reservations until we give them the Go-Ahead after registration closes!![/font size=3][/font color=re] See the "PLS READ RE: HOTELS" thread!

Oh, one more thing before you read on -- Last year quite a few RT'ers doubled up with roommates, and from what we heard most everyone enjoyed that. Finding a roommate and making sure you're sympatico with each other is something we will leave up to you grown-ups to do for yourselves, but we'll start a roommate match-up thread for you after registration.

The 2008 Cathe Road Trip Hotels
1. The Fairfield Inn by Marriott at Deptford

This pleasant hotel has "normal" rooms with either 1 king or 2 double beds. All rooms are clean, very comfortable and pretty spacious, and have hair dryers, nice TV's, a programmable safe, internet access, coffeemaker, and an iron. There's an indoor pool available as well.
When you call IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS ;-), you will need to ask for “The 2008 Cathe July Road Trip Special Rate” or “The 2008 Cathe August Road Trip Special Rate”.
Our rate for ANY room at the Fairfield Inn is $109.99 per night. This price includes the lobby buffet breakfast (waffles, oatmeal, cereals, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee).
2. The Residence Inn by Marriott at Deptford (an all-suites hotel)

This "sister hotel" is adjacent to the Fairfield Inn and is under the same management. As noted, it's an "all-suites" hotel. Check out the website for the various configurations of studio, one-BR and two-BR suites. Since it's a "suites" hotel, it differs from the Fairfield Inn in that the suites have a more spacious sitting area with pull-out sofa and a full kitchen. (We do mean "full". Seriously. The kitchens have oven, dishwasher, microwave, dishes, pots & pans, fridge, silverware, a toaster, even a table and chairs to sit down -- you could move in here! ;-)) Obviously, then, it turns out that the Residence Inn is a little bit pricier, but it is a TERRIFIC alternative for sharing space and hotel budget with 1 or 2 roommates. The suites are clean, very comfortable, and, like the Fairfield Inn, feature hair dryers, nice TV's, a programmable safe, internet access, a coffeemaker and an iron in addition to that amazing kitchen ;-). There's also an indoor pool and a whirlpool on this property.
