Pyramids - I love them!

I just finished (last week) a 12-week round of pyramid UP workouts (2x a week with cardio 1-2 x a week and an occasional Muscle Endurance thrown in). The results have been great (and I can only image what they'd be like with a much cleaner diet!). I never intended on this long of a rotation (more like six weeks), but I just love the workouts and the ball work (and I did have a two weeks of work travel where I could only do the workouts 1x that week). At the beginning I'll admit it was a bit hard to get excited - especially with the hamstrings screaming from the ball work, but now I don't want to give it up!

So, I'm trying to wean myself off of them by compromising with a couple weeks of pyramid DOWN and an occasional ME thrown in. This is the first week of the DOWN and guess what!? On the biceps I can match Cathe! On the UP, I can only manage 8-10-12 from the pre-exhaustion of the other exercises, but on the down, I'm doing 15-12-10! I'm so excited that I just might follow up with a week or more of S&H soon to see if I can possibly lift heavier than last time on biceps.

I know I need to get some endurance work in and a bit more cardio, but it is SO hard to break away from these workouts... especially since I can match Cathe on the down side on biceps! I match her on everything else already and am higher on the tricep kickbacks at 5-8-10 and they're getting a bit too easy.

Just thought I'd share my excitement with the results. And, as always, when I end a rotation, I always seem to get comments on how slim I look and what do I do to get that way... CATHE! Thanks, Cathe!

I know what you mean. I've been hooked on the pyramid workouts lately too. That's amazing that you can match Cathe on the biceps! (Although I hope you are doing it a bit more easily than she is. Cathe is straining too much on those biceps in my opinion!) I'm not anywhere near you on the weights, but I am seeing fast improvements!
