PYGFO Monday Nov 5

Morning gals. I thought I'd give Michelle a break this morning.

Lara, I'm glad I went to bed instead of watching the game. I would have much preferred a Colts win. Tonight, my Steelers are on, but I can't stay up that late. I really like Amy's ASC2. It's better than ACS1. That's the only workout I ordered. DH has put me on a budget.

Gin and Heather, I'm planning on starting the Nov rotation today. I'm also planning on adding on a segment of coremax and some pikes on the ball for the daily challenge over on the open forum.

Hi Carolyn, Vickie, Tess, Laura and any I may have missed. Have a nice Monday.

Good Morning!:)

Thanks for the break Robin;-) Nothing for me today is my rest day. I would love to do the November rotation , but there is just not enough cardio for me. After reading Cathe's response to a poster in her forum though, I might have to cut down on my cardio a little, if I want to build lean muscle mass...hope I read that right.http://69.0.137.118/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=2&topic_id=80530&mesg_id=80530&page=

Well I caved and bought Amy's ASCII. Should get it sometime this week. I agree Lara, there are allot of twists and turns.

bbl,

Good Morning,

I am starting the November rotation today. I am loving the time change, I feel so rested this morning that I could do any of Cathe's workouts.

Robin - I think I will check out the daily challenge on OD. Always up for challenge to rev things up a bit.

Tess - Sorry I missed the river on Saturday. Hope you guys had a great hike.

Hope everyone else has a great day!

Carolyn

Michelle, when I first saw the Nov rotation, I thought it sounded a bit too easy. There were more rest days then I want. I decided to give it a whirl, but add cardio days where Cathe has stretch or extra rest days. We'll see how long I stick with it. I'm usually good for a week, then something happens, I miss a workout, and never get back to the rotation.

Carolyn, the daily challenge on OD is just kind of a fun thing someone started up last week. We had a drink your water day, a no sweets day and a log all you eat day. Today's challenge is to pick a personal workout challenge for yourself and post it. I think most everyone is adding a little something extra to whatever workout they had planned for today. It's kind of a fun check in.

I want to hear about the hike on Saturday!

Good morning everyone. Robin, thanks for getting us started this morning. I am enjoying the time change. It was easier than normal getting up and doing my workout. Today's workout was P90X Shoulders & Arms. I didn't really do any of the other P90X workouts this weekend because I was totally wrecked from teh chest & back workout I did Thurs. I figured this first week will be my warmup week to do a "working preview" of the workouts and I'll start full force next week. If I can keep my eating in line I might actually get somewhere.

Robin - hope you enjoy the November rotation!!

Michelle - I read that link and that is how I read it too. I hope you like Amy's ASCII. I got her slo-mo but I haven't tried it yet.

Carolyn - no worries. I'm glad you're feeling rested this week. The hike was nice. We were only out for about an hour and went at a decent pace. The time went by so fast because we were busy chatting. It was a gorgeous day perfect for walking along the river. I will definitely go back there.

Have a great day ladies!!

Hey you guys!

Boy oh boy, have you ever just felt like you have absolutely no more to give?? I am just in a state of exhaustion and I can't seem to kick it. There is just so much going on in my world right now... someone stop the bus, I want to get off!!! all good stuff for the most part, but nonetheless tiring.

The boys went back to school today after a two week hiatus. Last week they were out recording their album. I can't even tell you how amazing it is going. They have laid down all the tracks and now they will go back at the end of November to fix things, add things, and do things that I actually have no idea what they mean, LOL! Then I guess it gets mixed and re-mixed and mixed some more. This guy they are working with is like one of the best and he knows his stuff. He is pretty excited about the work they have done, and he is not one to go on about things as he has worked with some pretty big people, however he did comment to me and DH about how impressed he is with the kids musical ability, their ability to work together and with him, etc. He said he can't even imagine where they will be in 10 years if this is what they are doing now. So, not too shabby. What happens when the album is all done... well, I guess that remains to be seen. I have to keep everyone grounded of course, so one day at a time. Hopefully it gets picked up by a label and we get a booking agent who knows his/her stuff. Okay, so that's that story for now...

Anyway, catching up on everyone here. I hope everyone had a good Halloween. Not TOO much candy I hope?? I read abot those M& M's ( Miss Robin!!) I actually took all the leftover candy and brought it to the Coffee House show we did Friday night as my contribution to the food. Hehe... let everyone else eat the evil candy!!

Oh, speaking of the show... so I told you guys that I was in a re-enactment of the Thriller video ( Michael Jackson). Well, it was absolutely hilarious and the dancing was unreal!!! I am going to have the boys put it on You Tube so I'll let you know when it's posted. I played the girlfriend and came out and danced a little at the end. Too much fun!

Okay, I'll BBL for personals. I have to go with DH to have a lump removed from the back of his head ( Oh, the fun never ends!!!) No big deal really, it's nothing serious at all, but they are doing it in the hospital because that area may bleed alot. He's kind of sad to see the lump go, he calls it his " Siamese Twin". Yes we are a twisted bunch!

Oh, BTW, the boys have three rough demos of their new songs on their myspace page. Keep in mind they are still not mixed and done, but they wanted to share the new stuff. Go and listen if you have a chance and let me know what you think... My favorite is "The Only Time" which makes me Boo Hoo... There are even better songs coming, but they didn't want to put the best ones up until the album is done. Um, I still think this stuff is pretty darn good... of course I am their mom though! So, its:

Myspace.com/afragiletomorrow.

Okay, Tess, Michelle, Robin, Gin, Lara, Laura, Carolyn, Heather and all PYGFOer's have a great day, much love, BBL!!!!

Vicki,

I just visited the myspace page and listened to all 3 songs. WOW!!!
They sound fantastic. They sound like they have be making music for years. I am truly impressed. If I remember correctly, they are just teenagers. The vocalist sounds so mature and professional. Did anyone take voice lessons or are they naturally gifted and talented?

I like "ALL I CAN DO", it is a great tune. So when will the dvd's be released? I'll buy one for sure:D

When they make it to the "big time", I can tell all my friends and my kids that I know their mom:p :p

Carolyn

Thanks Carolyn!! My two oldest boys are 15 and the youngest just turned 13. They also have a bass player who is 21. My boys only started seeing a vocal coach recently, they are pretty much self taught on all their instruments and vocals. They have been musical since they came out of me!!! The one who writes all their songs is unreal and he can pump out these songs like it's nothing! The producer told him that people will pay him alot of money for his songs. And he hears things that most of us don't and then puts things in the songs that only he can understand, but when it's done you're like, OMG, that was pretty darned incredible. He plays almost every instrument you can think of too!!! Anyway, blah, blah, blah, who wants to hear me go on and on!!!

Anyway, thanks for the compliments! I will let you know when the CD's are done and ready for sale. Probably not until the New Year. Woohoo, our first sale. LOL!!!

:D :D

Hello.

Today is a rest day. I got back late from work and it was pitch black---just no motivation. I will make tomorrow a "hard" workout day to make up for it (at least that is the plan).

Robin...I know, it was so disappointing:( Better luck next time, I hope!! I didn't know about the challenge check-in. It sounds like a fun one. I might pop on over and see what it is all about. I am glad to hear your good review of ASC2. I can't wait to try it.

Michelle...I am with you on the November rotation. I thought it looked good, but I usually do more cardio. I guess (like Robin said) I could just add more cardio if I wanted. I also have a hard time sticking to rotations. I am so good the first week, but if I miss, I usually don't get back into it. My very favorite roatations of Cathe's are the Jan Let's Work and the Aug Bootcamp. I just usually pick a day and do that workout in no particular order. Maybe one day I will be organized enough to follow an entire month:) Please let me know what you think about ASC2. It may be awhile until I have a chance to try it.

Vicki...That is so exciting. I am sure you could talk a few of us PYGFOers into buying a CD;-) You sound so busy. I hope you are able to slow down and relax sometime in the near future. I will have to check out myspace!

Hello to everyone else. Have a great Tuesday!! This will be a short work week for me. I will leave Thursday for a little getaway with DH. We haven't slowed down since we got married, so I think it will be good for us to get away for a few days.
