Good Morning PYGFOers!

Today was 3 mile run and MM lower body and MM abs. Big OUCH factor on the static lunges and the plie squats. I was cussing at sweet Cathe.}( x( I still need to fit in DM drills in the week somewhere to follow Dec. rotation.

Robin--How is your knee? We want to hear a report from you, girl!

Lara--So you are DH fan, also. Okay, we know that Victor died, but what do you think about Carlos or Tom? I'm hoping they are both fine. I like them and would hate to see either leave the show! Thank you for the advice for my friend that wants to workout.

Vicki--I posted a Q for you yesterday.

Hi to everyone else! Have a great day!
Gin:)

Morning Gin!:)

It's Monday, and only 21 more shopping days until Christmas..<ok, just had to throw that in;-) >

Today is DM premix #1.

Heather, I replied to your pm also.:)

Gin, I can't wait to do MM tomorrow!

Vicki, I watched DH during the first season, then I just kinda lost interest.

Lara, unfortunately santa already has said he is getting me my digital food scale...yes, I am somewhat obsessive about my food servings/weight.
Enjoy your basketball game.:)

Where are the rest of our checker-inners??

Mornin'!

Gin: I would agree with Lara. Tell her she should start with light weights, but 5 pounds should be her heavy weights and she should maybe have 2 and 3 for her light/medium weights. Tell her that of course she will need different weights for different muscle groups and exercises. But if she sticks with 5 pounds as her heaviest for now it will do 2 things: it will ensure that she will not "bulk up" and also it will make her feel better psychologically about not bulking up. Most of the women who start my class use 5's as their heaviest and I have not seen one of them get bulky. As a matter of fact, I have seen some of them developing beautifully sculpted muscles!! So, that would be my advice, but again, tell her that there is no cookie cutter weight. She should be using a weight that at she can use to get to exhaustion and also one that isn't so light she is just "swinging it around." She should remember with lighter weight ( or any weight for that matter) it is extremely important that she squeeze the muscle and put her mind to the muscle as well! Wow, this was a long response...

OMG... Gin and Lara: DH last night!! That tornado was unreal! Who do you guys think is the friend that everyone lost like they said at the top of the show?? Obviously Gabby's DH is gone... I knew that was going to happen. But none of us here could figure out the friend. Maybe Tom??( Lynette's DH) Oh, I hope not!! I don't think they would take her whole family away, right?? Ugh, and NO coming attractions!!! You never saw a whole room full of people screaming like us last night. It was hilarious!

Michelle... did you read my post about NC yesterday?? I had a question for ya. Oh, and Desperate Housewives kicked up a notch this season! Last season it got a little ridiculous, I agree, and amost lost interest too, but last night was crazy!!

Have a good day PYGFOer's!

Vicki I didn't even see that! Raleigh is about 2 hours away from here. That is defiantly doable.:)

I would have kept up with DH if I had my DVR back then, but with my bedtime being at 8pm most nights 9 at the latest, I could't even keep my eyes open to watch it.:(

The doctor thinks it is just a sprain. He is having me get an x-ray to rule out a break, and take an anti-inflammatory, with rest, for two weeks. If it's better in two weeks, I can resume exercise, slowly. If it's not better, I have to see an ortho doc. It's already lots better than it was over the weekend, so I think I'll survive. I'll have to be careful with my calorie intake and just work upper body for the next couple weeks.

Hi everyone. No workout for me today. I am getting sick. It's all I can do to keep my eyes open at work today. Yuck. Hate colds. Anyway, I did go to the park over the weekend for my mountain hike. So anyway, I ordered a new ipod and that came today so that's my exciting thing for the day. Hopefully my treadmill will come this week. I called them and gave them heck already this morning for it not being here already. I am 95% done with Chrismas shopping so I'm in good shape! Have a great day ladies.

Robin - I hope it is not a break and just a sprain like the dr. thinks. Take care and try to stay off it so you don't hurt yourself further.

Vicki - sounds like your boys have a fun trip planned to NC! I hope they enjoy their brief stay in Atlanta Hartsfield International. There is lots of walking to be had in our lovely airport. Tell them to wear comfortable shoes. :)

What Tess, you don't think they should wear spike heels like me and then walk all the way around the airport for about 3 miles?? I'm pretty sure my legs got an amazing workout at your most humungous airport. Of course, why in the world would I have taken that nice, convenient tram to baggage claim?? That would have been way too easy! LOL! anyway, I'm pretty sure they will make it as far as the first eatery, then plant it for a while. Just a hunch, knowing them!! BTW, I hope you don't get too sick!! I am a firm believer in Echinacea... works every time. Pop a couple if you can, it may catch it just in time.

ETA: ROBIN!!! Oh my goodness! I hope you feel better soon. Just rest like the doc said ( because of course I am the worst when it comes to resting, but do as I say not as I do, right??)and work your UB. You can certainly get alot done just by doing UB. Ugggghhhh, hang in there!!

Hi Again!

Vicki--Thanks for the advice for my friend. I will pass it along. I just loaned her my KPC/L&G and 4ds dvds.... It is a scary thing to loan out your Cathes!! But I know where she lives and where she works too!!}( I'm hoping it's not Tom on DH...I can't bear to live without him. He's the only descent husband on the show and cute, too!:7

Robin--Glad you went to the dr. Sending healing vibes your way and hope it is not more than a sprain that will be healed in 2 weeks. I've had knee problems that went on for months and I just had to do upper body and swim and bike....Blah!

Michelle--8pm bedtime? Wow! What is your wake up time? 3am? I'm so impressed.

Tess--Sorry you aren't feeling well.

Gin:)

Tess, sorry your feeling bad.:( Whenever I feel something coming on I OD on Vitamin C. It always helps-probably all in my head, but whatever works, right?:)

Robin, glad to hear it wasn't bad. 2 weeks will fly by.

Gin, I am usually up by 5 or 6. I believe in getting my sleep!:D
