Push-Up Challenge MONDAY!

Hi All! Where you all be? I just finished and whew, was today tough! But, I did it on toes with no breaks. (I held my position a couple times but kept going...the last set was def hard!) Here you go:

Week 5 (But re-doing week 4), Day 3, Column 3:

29 (The minimum was 29)

TOTAL 123!!!!

I still don't think I am strong enough to go to week 5 but I think I will give it a go on Wednesday. I may Re-Re-Do Week 4 again! LOL! How is everyone doing?

I did the final day of the program (YIKES!) on Saturday: Week 6, day 3 (column 1): 13/13/17/17/16/16/14/14/50. I am supposed to do the FINAL test today!!! But my shoulders are seriously sore from my Dara Torres Resistance Stretching workout that I did for the first time yesterday (see my review in OD if you're interested), so I think I'm going to put it off until tomorrow. (Yes, I am stalling, can you tell??)

There is no way I'm going to be able to complete 100 pushups in one shot for this test. Last week I managed 50 at a time. I'm guessing maybe 55 or so this week? I think that depending on what I'm able to do, I will just pick whatever column of week 6 corresponds to my number, and do week 6 again. (And again..And again...until I've had it with pushups, LOL!)

And Kathy, welcome!!! In answer to your question, sometimes I warm up first before the pushups and sometimes not. I usually do the warm up of whatever Cathe workout I'm doing for the day, then pause the DVD to do my pushups. I haven't noticed any difference in my pushup performance whether or not I've warmed up. I did the week 5 test twice, once before my workout, and once after, and the number of pushups I could do was about the same.

Hello everyone!!

Well I did week 4 Day 1 Column 1 yesterday, but didn't quite make it on the last set...so I will try those same sets tomorrow...if THAT doesn't work, I'm going to to re-do week 3......

Debbie- congrats on your numbers so far!!! 123 is awesome~ and I hear ya about re -re - doing! I think I might just do every week twice....lol
 
Lord have mercy this is tough!!!!!
Today was week 5, day 1, 30/24/22/20/30 = 126 ouch!!!!!!!!
Truth time....still on my knees, mini breaks after 12-15 reps (10-15 seconds), and extended (5 minutes) breaks between sets.
I'm going to keep going if I can and then re-start the revised program on my toes and go for it again!
