Push and Pull/Super Sets DVD question

Can anyone tell me if there is an option on this DVD to combine the two workouts?

I have both on VHS and am considering upgrading to the DVD.

Thanks in advance!

Melissa

Wow, I will take a stab at this one, although I don't have the dvd in front of me. I know there are alot of premixes for both workouts on this DVD, which make it a good buy for me because I can really intensify the workouts that way, but I don't recall seeing any combo premixes.:)

Nope, there are no premixes that combine the two workouts, but you can easily do it yourself with the Mix'nMatch feature and the Workout Blender. Or you can program your dvd player to make up a workout. Ages ago someone posted a workout she'd created that blended the two. If you do a search, you might be able to find it.

Cheers,
Sandra

Is this what you were referring to? I posted this about two years ago:

Work off of the mix and match menus of both SS and PP and do the exercises back to back, as opposed to in a push/pull manner:

PP bench press - 2 sets
PP chest flies - 2 sets
PP dead rows - 2 sets
SS pullovers - 2 sets
PP one arm rows - 2 sets
PP front delt raises - 1 set
PP rear delt flies - 1 set
PP inverted shoulder press - 1 set
SS seated overhad press - 1 set
SS lying tricep extensions - 1 set
PP dips/kickbacks - 2 sets
SS seesaw push ups - 1 set
PP hammer/traditional curls - 2 sets
SS concentration curls - 1 set

Between each exercise I go back to the main menu to choose the next exercise, and while I did so, I would stretch, switch equipment, etc. The whole thing took about an hour and it felt great!!!

Nope, Jillybean, that's not the one I remember, but I like it! I'm going to print it off and keep it for future reference. While I'm doing that I'll also go through my notes and find the other one. I'm obviously going to have to do a PP/SS routine next week (love those workouts!).

Cheers,
Sandra

I just bought a used DVD copy of Push Pull/Supersets off Amazon and am anxious to get it. They both sound like solid workouts, and are both full body workouts, which I prefer to splits. Are there any favorite parts that you guys would like to share? I appreciate the suggestion on how to combine the two, Jillybean.

Just wanted to point out that you CANNOT combine sections of PP with SS using the Workout Blender--you can only combine segments of PP with other segments of PP, OR you can combine segments of SS with other segments of SS...

In my opinion, this is one of the biggest flaws of this series. It would have made so much sense to make a combo workout of these two as a premix, but instead there are countless premixes of each individual workout. Argh!

The Workout Blender is a feature on the Body Blast series only. You can get to it from the main menu of each workout in the series. You select Workout Blender, and it takes you to a menu that lists about 8 (?) segments from that particular workout. You can then select up to 7 segments and have them play in the order in which you select them.
This could have been a great feature if you could select a lot more segments than 7, but since you can't it really isn't a very useful feature, in my opinion.
