Purpose Of Working One Body Part Per Week?

Okay, I think I'm going crazy. I remember posting this, but I can't find the post any where, so please forgive me if this is a duplicate. I'm trying to find out what the purpose of working one body part a week. How does this benefit one? I'm thinking of doing CTX & BB Timesaver as a rotation for May since Cathe's rotation is 1 body part per week, but I want to actually do more than maintain and I'm an advanced exerciser. I was thinking of doing the weight segments twice for each session (only have 60-70 minutes per day to workout and this should work). Would this be good for advancing my fitness goals? My goals are to build muscle, definition, and lean out and cut my legs. I could afford to lose a few pounds also.

I might add that I have been exercising for 18 years but just discovered Cathe in February. The last 2 months I did a Hardcore Fatloss Rotation and 3 weeks of a Hardcore Strength Rotation and then I went on vacation for 5 days and took that time off. I have seen some results since starting Cathe workouts, but would like to achieve the above goals. I hadn't lifted heavy weights for about 5 years prior to finding Cathe due to being sidelined by a disc injury, but I'm okay to lift heavy again.

Its one body part/day not week. In fact working one body part/day..you can get to work that muscle group 1 to 2x/week. Working one body part/day is recommended if you are interested in building muscle. The advantage of working only one part/day is that you can really focus and work that muscle group harder than if you were working multiple parts/day. You will be doing more than maintaining if you are tough on these workouts. I have made my best strenght gains working this way and at most 2 body parts/day. I typically combine multiple workouts for each part. If you are focusing on muscle growth I would do the weight work before cardio. If you are focused more on cardio and fat loss, do the cardio first.

RE: Purpose Of Working One Body Part Per Day?

Sorry, I meant to say one body part per day....thanks,

Would using the CTX DVD and BB Timesaver DVD and doing the weight work twice be working my muscles out hard enough if I am an advanced exerciser? That would equal about 20 minutes of weight workout per session.
