YEAH! Not in my arms obviously. Wowza. My arms are jello literally I could not even lift my arm to take a drink of water afterwards. I only did the Chest, triceps and shoulders I could not have done anything else If I wanted to. First time can you tell with my whining.

Looks like you need to purchase some straws :) . Just kidding. Congrats for getting through it. Just think how much easier it will be next time.

Beth, did you recently purchase Pure Strength? I looked it up and I only saw it in VHS. I take it this it what you have? How does this compare to other upper body Cathe workouts? I really want to find an UB workout that has a few different moves other than the usual. Oh, and congrats on the jello factor. Ain't life grande? :p Thanks. Bam

*** Edited to say that I just found the DVD version. I have found that the site sometimes is very temperamental. When I typed in Pure Strength, it only brought up the VHS version. I was scanning through all the pages when I saw the DVD. I would still be interested in hearing your comparisons. Thanks again.

Hi Beth,

How does Pure Strength compare to the Gym Styles? I'm needing it to go with the March Rotation. Which would be in my best interest to buy? I have S&H, the Pyramids, and need something more to get more definition and strength.
Does anyone else out there have any views on Janis Saffell kickbox dvds? I want to get another kickbox to go with what I have, which is all of Cathe's kickbox, just want to try something different to get a change in, not that it will compare to Cathe though. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! :) I'm waiting and have my cc out ready to order! :7

Hi,

I had to jump in here because these are all my favorite Cathe workouts! the Pure Strength is like another Gym Styles, without the band work. It is a great strength 3 day split.

Bam: I have only done PUB before this and I like going up and down the pyramid (Call me Crazy). In this pure strength you get 3 workouts in one dvd 1st is strong legs and abs 64 min (have not done yet I am on a 7 week lower body w/o rotation with others) 2nd is chest shoulders and triceps (41 min) this is the one I did warmup couple minutes, you go into chest pushups on incline or decline, brench press light then heavy barbell dumbells she also changes her bench to incline for heavy, flies then superset with fly/press. Shoulders Arnold press, seated clean & Press (I think thats what it was called), standing lateral raises, reverse flies, seated side lateral raises Triceps last Close grip dumbell presses, dumbell french press, cross body kickback and dips with bumbell seated in your lap. Stretch. 3rd is Back, Biceps & Abs. I wanted to do this with #2 but as I said my arms were jello I could hardly stick with my last set of dips. So I will try next time. I am sorry to say I have not tried Gym Styles upper either. Legs is AWESOME!

My lower half was a bit jealous it did not ache along with the upper half.

I purchased my pure strength in a set.

Sandy. I can not offer any input on Gym Style Upper I have not done them yet. I am not discipled enough on my Slow and Heavy I want to go fast all the time. I really need to do this when I have no interruptions (with 3 children and a DH YEAH RIGHT)! Sorry Can not help you on a tough Kickboxing dvd either I can recommend Denise Austin but after Cathe kicks your butt denise would be no challenge. JMO.

Hi Beth,

I ordered Pure Strength and the Pyramids, I have the Pyamids on VHS, but the PUB is messed up, so after looking at the premixes (I didn't know they had them on this DVD), I had to order it as well. I'm like you, I like my S&H, but I want something that is a little faster, but not as fast as something like Power Hour, which I have as well. I'll hold out on a kickboxing DVD, I think PowerStrike has a new one coming out soon, not sure of the date, maybe I'll wait on that one. I think I have enough for now. My DH is gonna take my card away if I don't stop soon.
